The Galaxy Dome is a unique table lamp that consists of a rustic glass dome/cloche housing modern, dimmable LED string lights. The small cylindrical version holds 125 LEDs. When the dome is switched on the LEDs create miniature spots of light which, from a distance, look like stars in the night sky. The resulting appearance of the many LED's is a 'galaxy of stars' caught in a beautiful glass vessel. The LED string lights used in the Galaxy Dome are highly energy-efficient. They dissipate very little heat and are, therefore, safe and cheap to use over prolonged periods of time. Moreover, they have a rated lifetime of 100,000 hours, meaning they can provide over 11 years of continued, non-stop use. Every unit is also supplied with a dimmer switch to allow full control of the light's brightness.
