I use this Dettol laundry sanitiser as an additive rather than a replacement detergent, mainly to ensure hygiene when washing at lower temperatures. It integrates cleanly into a normal wash cycle via the fabric softener drawer, with no residue left behind. In practical use, it is particularly effective on gym wear, bedding, towels, and work clothes where odour can linger even after a standard wash. The liquid is easy to measure, and a bottle lasts longer than expected given the modest dosage per load. Performance-wise, it does what it claims without compromising fabrics or colours. Clothes come out noticeably fresher, and the lavender scent is present but restrained, fading to a clean smell rather than clinging perfume. I have not observed any stiffness or fading over repeated use, even on darker items. The main limitation is that it offers no stain removal on its own, so it must be paired with a proper detergent. As a hygiene-focused additive, however, it is reliable, efficient, and well suited to modern low-temperature washing.

Does the same job as any laundry cleaner removes stains good wash

I work out 5-6 days a week, and my gym clothes always smell fresh. I’ve never had any odour issues with my workout clothing since using this. I simply add it to every wash along with my laundry pods. It’s a 5-star product for me!

Purchased this thinking it was a washing detergent but just didn’t read the description properly. Either way - it’s really good. I use as an additive to my washes, particularly my work clothes (I work in a hospital), gym clothes and dog stuff. It’s nice to know that everything comes out of the wash sanatized
