LOVE this cage for my finches!
I have owned this flight cage for one month, and I have to agree with those who have given it positive reviews. I currently house five finches in it, including a tiny bronze winged-mannikin, and there is no way for them to escape, provided you assemble the cage correctly and it is not damaged. Now, as for bent wires, there will probably be a few when you unpack the pieces. The directions even warn of this. But I was easily able to put them back in place with a pair of pliers. And I am NOT a handy, tool-oriented sort of person. Nor am I particularly adept at assembling things, but I was able to put this together largely by myself. I did, however, need a second person to hold pieces in place for me at a couple of steps in the process (the instructions are correct in indicating where you will need assistance). Assembly itself took about an hour, maybe, and I ran into almost no problems. The trickiest part to assemble is the roof, but with a second person holding pieces in place, it came together. And it left no spaces wide enough for finches to escape. The only part I had a bit of trouble with was getting the wheels into the casters, as you need to hammer them into place, but my 60+-year-old mom was able to do it no problem, so maybe I am just weak :). I LOVE all of the large and small doors that allow me access to various parts of the cage. The two large doors on the front unhinge and swing out to the side, and I am able to fit the entire upper portion of my body into the cage. They both latch easily, once you get the hang of it. In addition, the large doors have small access doors on them that slide upwards (typical of the kind you would find on many bird cages). The cage also has two of these small doors on each side, one upper and one lower. No doors on the back. I have had no problem using the standard water/food feeder in these openings. The cage comes with its own food/water feeders, which attach to the horizontal wires within the cage, and can go almost anywhere you want to put them. I love to use these for food. The tray at the bottom slides out easily, and I have found that it just fits inside a large black trash bag, so that I can slide it into the bag to dump out the substrate without much mess. Above the tray, there is also a removable grate (just don't remove both at once--then there is absolutely room for finches to escape!). I have found that I can clean the grate without needing to remove it, since the bottom cage door is so large. Now for dimensions. It is true that finches prefer horizontality to verticality, so length is important. There is ample length and width for several finches (NOT 20+, though--this would mean serious overcrowding). My societies make use of the entire cage, top to bottom. My gouldians prefer to stay at the very top. I am sure it just depends on the finch. I originally housed zebras in this cage, and they also only used the top. For such a large cage, it is extremely mobile! Provided you have the space to maneuver, it is quite easy to push it around the room (if vacuuming, for example), thanks to the wheels on the bottom. Finally, this cage is STURDY. It is made of much stronger, more durable material than my previous 18 x 18 x 30 Petco flight cages. I was hesitant to buy this model because it is a bit pricey (there is, I think, another Prevue flight cage that is generally cheaper and periodically on sale), but I really like the decorative aspect of the sloping roof. And I think the finches appreciate being able to get to the very apex of their environment, which they are able to access via the manzanita perches I placed up there. Very happy with my purchase.

The Holy Grail of Bird Cages — Please Bring It Back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This cage changed my birds’ lives — and mine. It is, hands down, the best cage I’ve ever owned. If you’re lucky enough to still find one in stock somewhere, grab it. I’m heartbroken that it’s been discontinued and hope this review helps others speak up to bring it back. First of all, this cage is absolutely beautiful. The white finish blends perfectly into my minimalist space with white walls and light wood — no clunky black bars, no industrial vibe. It’s light, airy, and so elegant. I’ve decorated mine with little fairy lights and vines, and it looks like something out of a woodland dream or a gentle fairytale. But what matters most? My birds are obsessed. I’ve had lots of cages and playstands, but nothing compares to how much they love this one. They actually choose to go back to it — after 20 minutes of hanging out with me elsewhere, they’re ready to return to their magical room. I’ve ended up spending most of my time in there just to be near them! That’s how content they are in this space. People often say birds need flat-topped cages, but I’ve found that’s not necessarily true. My flock has always preferred dome or geodesic shapes — they gravitate toward cozy, rounded structures, and this flight cage is their paradise. It’s not just big — it’s beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches that make it feel more like a conservatory than a cage. It gives them real room to fly, play, and live. And for us parrot parents who sometimes have to step away during the day? This cage gives me peace of mind. I know they’re not just safe — they’re happy. They preen, they chitchat, they explore. It’s truly like a palace for them, and I honestly feel bad for ever housing them in anything less. Not all cages are perfect, and I did vet wrap one or two loops. But I have other cages where I had to vet wrap all the loops (closures that might have the tiniest of gaps for toenails to get stuck in— yet I’m extra paranoid) , and Prevue by far has the best quality of any the cages I’ve bought on here. Sturdiness, good construction, and it’s a nice chalky white, not grey like many cages are. If you’re thinking about it, or can find it— don’t hesitate. And if you already have one — please join me in reaching out to the company to bring it back. There is no other cage like this on the market: aesthetic, functional, beloved by birds, and truly life-changing. I’ll be dreaming of the day I can buy a second (or third) one — for now, I’ll just keep telling everyone how magical it is.

great overall
Pros: VERY spacious A beautiful off-white color Sturdy frame An overall decorative look with the sloped roof Easy to move Did I mention this thing is huge? Cons: A giant pain to assemble. But I should say that I'm not someone who's particularly talented with assembling things. Thin, easily damaged wire Grate doesn't stay firmly in place Metal tray - heavy and clunky Potentially arrives damaged (like mine did) I'm amazed that some people in the reviews mentioned putting this together in less than an hour. It took me an entire day and a half. I didn't have assistance, and used a chair to keep the frame parts in place. I also stood on my bed while putting the roof on. The roof was probably the worst part to get on. The metal strip that's supposed to go over the peak was all bent and damaged, so I decided to leave it off. The roof seems just fine without it. Just be aware that it leaves two 1/2 inch gaps at the very top. I'm considering covering it with silk plants. I really don't know how this item was damaged. It came in a box that was in perfect condition and was very well wrapped with bubble wrap. Yet, wires were bent and the track that's supposed to hold the tray was completely smashed. I had to carefully reshape it with pliers, causing damage to the paint. Luckily it isn't in a spot that's visible from just looking at the cage. As others have mentioned, some things didn't line up perfectly which added to the challenge. This definitely took effort. BUT - in the end I consider it worth it. My birds absolutely love their new home. There's so much space! And considering the price, it is a pretty good deal for a flight that's really bordering on aviary. I gave it 4 stars because of the damage to the product, but it really is a great cage once it's put together. My zebra finches and bourke's parakeet are really loving it.

A home your birbs deserve
I'm really happy with my purchase and I can tell my birbs are happy with this product as well. A high quality, massive cage for when your babies can't free roam. It's sturdy, beautiful, and spacious. It takes two people to assemble and the instructions were clear to follow. Also comes with a paint brush and white paint just in case. I sent this link everywhere in bird groups online because it's that good of a cage. Make sure to also use natural wooden perches and different sized perches, like branches and platforms, for the birbs' feetsies - the wooden rods that the cage provides are good, but can harm your pets' feet if that's all all can perch on. My cage looks empty in my pictures because it's freshly built and my tons of bird toys are still back at home. I can't say too much about the cleaning because I haven't had it for long, but it's been easy to clean. One last tip: Build the cage where you want it to permanently stay in because it doesn't fit through most doorways. -Not a sponsored review.

Wrong wheel attachment sent
The cage is of a very good quality but I received two wheels with the wrong plastic attachments ( shorter ) and I sent a message to the seeker but did not received a response . Every time I need to lift the cage to take out the wheels falls off . Please send the right plastic attachment asap . This is not a cheap cage .If it wasn’t by that issue I would have give it 5 stars

It was worth it and I'm happy!
I've been wanting to get a better cage for my birds but cages can be very expensive! I was alittle worried the cage might been too narrow for my Lovebirds but it's not, and its tall enough for them to have plenty of perches and toys! My birds are timid and would always hide under the paper in their old cage if they were scared and sometimes sleep that way. Hopefully with this cage they can get out of that habit and feel more secured. this cage came pretty fast for me, so I didnt have any issues with packaging. It was easy to put together, just have patience and maybe an extra hand if your're having trouble. If you get a cage bent from the mail, it's very fixable with some pliers. I had to use it but honestly didnt mind because it's not difficult and it's not like I paid for some super thick ironcast cage. That being said, it's way stronger than a typical smaller cage that you can get for cheaper. The wheels work well, the food bowls are cool, the lock is fine. Its strong and secure for my birds. Overall for me it was a good investment. I think the one perch included is fine, your bird needs different types of perches anyways!!

Very Nice Cage for The Price
I was a bit worried to purchase a cage this large without seeing it in person. But the photos were very descriptive, and reviews favorable, so I went for it. The cage is very nice and I'm happy I got it. It came in a large flat box, with extra heavy cardboard wrapped around on the corners, and strong plastic straps wrapped around it snugly. The pieces of the cage were separated with bubble wrap. I didn't encounter any damages, there was one part of the cage that had a minor bend, but this was easily reduced. There was even a small bottle of touch up paint, with a little paint brush included. The seed guard was the only tricky part for me. I had the cage assembled and the legs attached, when I got around to putting the guard on. I didn't have a second set of hands (which would have been real helpful) so I attached 2 of the guard pieces together, placed them on the cage. Then put together the other 2, and placed them on the cage. Then attached the 2 remaining corners, to finish the encasement. It's a bit temperamental, but do-able. My 2 budgies love the space of this cage. I could easily fit 2 more budgies, and they would still have gobs of room. What I really like, is there's plenty of room for lots of toys, and it's "quiet" no "clanking" when you move it. The wheels are rubbery. And you feel good that your pets have plenty of habitat space. In my case, the light brown color makes it easier to visualize the birds, and somewhat disguises the mess they make. I would definitely recommend this cage, if your thinking of going larger.

Don't order this cage from Amazon!
This is the second time I have ordered this exact cage from Amazon. The first one arrived last year with slight damage to the box and cage and I kept it though I was unhappy with paying over $200.00 for a slightly damaged item. I took a chance a couple of weeks ago thinking it had been a fluke and ordered another exact cage to be delivered to my assisted living community for our sunroom. I wasn't there when it was delivered. There was extensive damage to the box but the cage seemed ok. It was only when the residents and I started to assemble it that I realized the extent of the damage to the cage. The tray was damaged on the corner and sticks out enough to catch someone's clothing if standing close to it, one side panel was dented outwards so that it was bowed, I was unable to attach the roof in that section because the holes wouldn't line up. There was damage to another panel where the wires were bent out large enough for a small bird to be able to escape. The bottom door was bowed out to make it extremely difficult to drop the pin down to securely close the door. I would return it but my elderly residents are so thrilled with our new cage and finches that I can't bring myself to do so. With the exception of the wires none of this damage showed up until we were 2/3rds of the way through putting it together. I am unhappy with again spending over $200.00 for a damaged product. The savings wasn't worth it because I'd rather have paid more for a perfect cage then save $60.00 and receive a damaged one. I order from Amazon frequently but I don't recommend anyone ordering this cage from Amazon. It's normally a beautiful cage, I have one at home that I ordered from Drs Foster & Smith. (It arrived undamaged)
