Jeep Wrangler JK 2007 - Present: Performance Upgrades (Performance How-to)

I'm a beginner "Jeeper" and this book is filled with so much good information beginner or not! Every JK owner should have this.

It’s an easy read. And very useful information if you are thinking about getting a Jeep

This book is very informative. Although it applies to specifics on JK’s. It can help with all newer model Jeeps. I have a JL and found it helpful.

A lot of useful information, it gave many ideas to think about.

I was hoping for a book that detailed JK upgrades, but the info in this book is VERY basic. "You can add a nice aftermarket exhaust to your Jeep". I'm paraphrasing a bit.... but that's the gist. It does offer some vendor info and a couple build expos, but man, honestly, Google is more informative if you've got a specific upgrade you're looking at learning more about. This is not a workbook, it's a very general info book with some pretty pics.

Good reference

Despite the claim on the front cover of being a 'Performance How -To' this is really a story book (rather than a technical reference) advertising friends products with false claims. E.G. page 79 states "The Currie RockJock 60 (front axle assembly) is the ultimate in strength for the JK, 3 x .375-inch wall DOM steel tubes. Nonsense! Teraflex have a JK front axle housing 3.25" x 0.5" wall thickness - much stronger.Page 119 states: Ray Currie.......Ray purchased a 2007 JK that his son Cody used while attending California State University San Bernardino. Cody's Ford F150 pickup was too big for parking spaces at school so the JK was selected as a daily driver......Cody drove it for two years. It was one of the first JK's delivered by Victorville Motors in Victorville, California.What has any of the above to do with a supposedly technical book 'Performance How -To' Performance upgrades.This book wastes your time. Do not waste your money on this book. If you need a story, buy a novel.Much better information can be obtained by using Google and reading various manufacturers websites.
