Does this feature ESD protection

The XS25 has the tip connected to earth which gives some protection. But the handle is not made from an ESD material. So we do not classify it as an ESD iron

Hi What Antex iron would you recommend for fairly small work is 25W ok...

As an electronics and computer engineer of 30 years' standing, I've used the XS25 iron for everything including work on computer logic PCBs. Yes, some would say it's too powerful, but there are different size bits available to offset this. I have always used the 55 bit (0.5mm tip) with my XS and found it perfectly ok for small intricate work such as replacing 74 series logic chips and SOME surface mount components. You can even get a bit with a 0.12mm tip (57 bit)
