The ActiveShade eyeglass shaped device has liquid crystal shutter glasses. Each eye's glass contains a liquid crystal layer which becomes dark when voltage is applied. In the original position the glasses are transparent. Recommended for especially for middle‐aged (40+) and elderly population with an aging condition known as presbyopia. This is when the eyes have a diminished ability to focus on an object, making vision blurry. Difficulty reading small print, particularly in low light conditions can be an indication of presbyopia. The product is also recommended in all cases when the decreased visual acuity can be traced back to the different vision of the eyes. Most people have different eyes; one of their eyes is weaker even though in everyday life they may not be aware of it. Instructions for use: Intended to provide dynamic occlusions of the eye. The test mode is designed to find out which is your weaker eye. Two modes of operation are available: test mode (to detect the weaker eye), training mode (to occlude the dominant eye in regular periods to force the weaker eye to perform additional focusing activity). Recommended use: wear at least 5 to 10 minutes a day. How it works: By intermittently suppressing the dominant eye, the device forces the weaker eye to try again and again to form a sharp focused image of the objects in the visual field. The ActiveShade helps restore the balance between the eyes. Packaging contains: Training glasses, user manual. Button cell battery is included and it is user replaceable.
