Outstanding Value & protection.....peace of mind & durable for just $60.....why ride unprotected ?
This is a tremendous value for your $60 ! Jacket is comfortable & versatile, zip out winter liner, open ventilation zippers & it can work even in 80+ degree weather IF you are moving. Also good down into the low 50s (cold as I ride), I'm sure down to the 40's with a better thermal than I use. Fit is good, but arms a bit long. I THINK my size is a L (it will say on my review header), and I"m 5'9" and 210# and at that weight, the chest is perfect but the arms are a tad long on me. The real solution is for my weight to drop down below 200, then I'm sure the next size down will be perfect, thanks to my new 18:6 Intermittent daily fasting, I'm now at 204# and jacket is now quite loose on me lol ! The only possible criticism I see is the elbow pad pockets seem to be a tad mis-aligned, so that the pads aren't centered on my elbows perfectly. Not sure if it's was sewed slightly off or if my body is out of alignment with the rest of humanity - probably the latter ! Have their insulated pants and they're perfectly suitable too. Fully the value of gear offered at Cycle Gear, but you can't try on first. I read a ton of these reviews & got the sizing right first try. Cheers - David in Texas

Nice features. Good quality material. A bit loose when purchasing per the size chart.
Great jacket. Fit: I'm 5'10", 175 lbs, athletic build: 44" chest, 33" waist. XL per the size chart is too big for me. Even with the nice warm liner installed, there is just too much room inside. If you are near my size then I recommend a size large.Everything is very nice and high quality except for the fit. Arm length is fine. Waist is ok since it is adjustable with external velcro straps. The torso and chest however are too loose. I plan to sell this one on FB Market and then buy another one here in size L.

It’s a decent jacket.
Great jacket for the price. Waterproof and isn’t too hot. The zipper sucks but I was able to fix it. Fits me well. Got a medium I’m 5’8”

Great jacket for the price!
Great jacket for the price! I've had this jacket for over 4 years now and I am very impressed with its performance, especially at this price! I ride a dual sport in the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico during the summer and fall months and mornings can be cold! It breaks the wind well but a hoodie under the liner helps me stay warm. During the sunny days in the large high desert valleys it can warm up pretty good and as long as I'm moving the vents work well (Of course the liner and hoodie are now rolled up in my back pack). I've spent numerous 8+ hour 200 mile days with no discomfort. I even caught a rut wrong and landed in some sagebrush, the forearm padding did its job and the jacket showed not even a scuff. I'm really considering buying another as a spare. Many years ago (2002) with my first street bike I purchase an Alpinestars textile jacket on clearance for around $100, this jacket is about on par with that one in quality.

Quality jacket at a great value
I just bought this jacket as my first motorcycle jacket. I have not worn it yet on a ride, but wanted to offer my initial thoughts. JACKET: - The jackets seems very heavy-duty and of good quality - It is very nice looking..okay of course that it subjective - Sizing: I would say it runs big. After measuring myself, I ordered a Large, but ended up needing a Medium (I'm 5'7" 165 lbs). Your mileage may vary. That said, it has several different snaps and straps to adjust the fit. Also, it may look a little bulky when you put it on since it has shoulder pads - The main zipper seems like a good quality zipper - It has several air vent zippers - There is padding on the elbows, shoulders, belly area and back area - There is an inner liner that can be removed for warmer weather and added in during colder season VALUE: If you don't want to spend $200 or more on a jacket, then this is a good choice. It does feel or look cheap and I suspect could sell for a much higher price. This seems like a very good value. If I remember, I'll follow up with an update after the riding season is over. CUSTOMER SERVICE When you get the jacket, there will be several notes asking you to reach out to them via email if you think you want to return it. I recommend doing this. Their customer service was 2nd to none. PS: I also bought the HWK riding pants. They are also very nice. They seems like they'll be quite warm during those summer months, but I'm not sure how you balance protection with staying cool during the summer.

A very good value
I've been riding with this jacket for a little over a week, in temperatures ranging from the low 40's to the mid-70's. Thus far, I've been very happy with the garment. It seems to be well made, with quality materials. On colder mornings, I've found that a thin base layer with a wool mid-layer keeps me toasty warm. On the warmer afternoons, I use just a shirt with the liner in the jacket and my comfort level is also just right. As advertised, the jacket does a great job of keeping the wind out, which I believe is the secret to the jacket's warmth. I can not speak to the jacket's durability in a crash, and I hope I never can. However, I have no reason to believe that it wouldn't do it's job under that condition as well. The sizing is good; at 6'4" tall and 200lbs I ordered an XL, and the fit is just right. The soft micro fleece/tricot collar liner is a nice bonus, and eliminates any potential for chafing. I would have preferred zippered gussets at the wrists, but the pleated Velcro closures seem to work well enough, and I can't really complain about cold air coming in at those points. The zipper in the rear of the jacket mates well to my rain pants (of different manufacture). The manufacturer seems to have gotten it right with this product.

This jacket is awesome for the price. They had a sale on when I got this and it’s a jacket that I’ve been looking at for over a year, and I’m glad that they kept the price competitive, because there’s a lot of comparable options out there otherwise. I’m impressed with the design of this jacket. You feel like Batman wearing this thing. The look is awesome and the colour combination is fantastic! Personally, I think it wins on the best motorcycle designed jacket currently for this price point. The wind protection is 100%. I took this out on an icy day (-3 degrees) and got up to 130kms and I didn’t feel the wind at all. This jacket is thick and solid. I’m not sure how waterproof it is yet, but the wind protection is as good as it gets as far as I can tell. It has a bunch of ventilation pockets and an internal liner, so it should still be quite comfortable during the summer riding and work for the winter. I think this is an all season jacket. The material is very thick, and it seems like it would be very protective if you were able to fall and go into a slide. My only complaint if I did have one would be that the sleeves are a little bit thick where the glove and the wrist connect. The way the Velcro straps up there makes it feel like a bunches up a little bit and it’s not as comfortable as it could be. Small designer, flaw, but such a minimal issue. Hopefully they fix that when they do the next version of this jacket. It’s still very well designed! One thing I really do like about this jacket is that the Velcro is high-quality. A lot of Velcro on these motorcycle jackets suck and they wear out after a while. This Velcro is good quality Velcro that will last for a long time. I think that is a really important note. This is a great jacket and I’m very happy with it! I think HWK is knocking out some high quality moto gear at a good price and I’m looking forward to their future lineup.

I do not know how they make this jacket and ship it to me in Australia for just over $100AUD. It is insane vale. Full removable liner, lots of pockets, removable “armour” which to be fair is pretty naff but better than nothing. I am 5’ 10’, medium build and went with Large. Fits quite well. Very happy with it and it seems not much worse than the $500 jackets I looked at in our local motorcycle centres. As long as you choose the right size I can’t see how you can go wrong with these.
