Its competitive, quick and addictive, a great game combo.
Such a good game...the more you play the better it gets. Definitely fun in bigger groups as it gets so competitive ans suitable for the whole family as its just simple numbers. Love this.

Fairly simple, tense but fun
This card game is not quite as ‘dangerously simple’ as it makes out, and for kids close-ish to the minimum playing age of 7 years old, it does take a little bit of getting used to. The instruction sheet is bright and cheerful, but it is guilty of saying “and another thing… and another thing… and another thing…”. But once they get the hang of it, it just ‘clicks’ and becomes a very playable game, and a good way of filling a ten minute slot while waiting for dinner to be ready. It requires quick thinking, but there’s definitely a bit of strategy to it, especially if playing in very verbal teams where you can benefit from hearing what the other team are saying whilst trying to communicate with your own team. We ended up adapting the rules slightly for our family, without too much difficulty. We parked the whole ‘hands on the table’ rule in favour of just stopping the game as soon as the timer went off, which is less dramatic but which is still a perfectly playable game, and which took away some of the anxiety that our youngest son was feeling about not wanting to pick up a card in case he was the one left holding it when the timer went off and therefore costing his team the game. Games are played in sixty second stints, but there is no timer in the box. As the instruction sheet explains, they wanted to keep the use of wasteful plastic down, and they’re sure that most people will already have good timers to hand. In a way they’re right, as any modern smartphone can do it, and simply saying “Alexa, set a timer for sixty seconds” will work if there’s the aforementioned voice assistant in the room. However, without a plastic timer in the box, this is just a pack of custom playing cards and an instruction sheet, which does then make the fifteen quid asking price seem a little steep for what’s physically in the box. The game can be played with unequal teams, which is good if you’ve got three people who want to continue playing- but to be frank, if there’s a team of two against a single player, the team of two have an inherent disadvantage because of taking-it-in-turns and the delays involved, so it’s not entirely fair. I think there’s a missed opportunity here to stick a third colour of cards in the box- the game rules could be easily stretched out to cover three or four teams, if only there were cards of the relevant colour included. While the games themselves only last sixty seconds, there’s a tidy-up involved between each round which takes about the same about of time, while you separate the different card colours and shuffle. There’s no easy way around that really- although perhaps if the box had been a bit more generous with the number of cards included of each colour, it would’ve been possible to play all five rounds and then tidy it up at the end instead. It’s not a travel game. The space shown in the product photo is required, and the piles need to stay tidy during the gameplay to keep it playable, so there’s no chance it will work on a flight or between players in the back seat of a car. I’d describe this game as ‘fairly simple’ rather than ‘simple’, but I don’t think it’s destined to be a classic. However the short gameplay time arguably plays in its favour, and it’s a game we’ll reach for when there’s a tiny bit of time to fill.

Excellent fast paced card game
Super game. Honestly, if you like fast paced card games to play with children and adults, you can’t go wrong with this. One or two games and you’ve got the rules. Honestly, if you can’t enjoy this card game, I don’t know what to say!

Fun, fast paced game
This game has proved to be a hit with my family. It's simple to learn, easy to play and gameplay doesn't take long. It can be played by just 2 players or as 2 teams, with players trying to place numbered cards on top of already placed cards, in order to be the team with the most points at the end. Cards are placed depending on number and need to be placed on top of cards with a number either higher or lower - for example if you have a 7, you would need to place it on top of a card showing a 6 or an 8. You can choose to place a card on top of your own, or alternatively an opponents card in a bid to decrease their points. There's a good element of strategy to the gameplay. After 60 seconds the points are added up - these are based on the number of cases showing on each card. Of course, gameplay can alter if you discard any unplayable cards, as opposing players gain those points, and if you're caught playing when the timer runs out then you lose. I have to say that when we play, we tend to discard this last rule as more often than not, someone is ultimately caught with a card in their hand when the timer runs out. It works better for us without this rule :) Overall it's a really fun game that appeals to all my family members, my youngest being 9. We've played it a good many times and it never seems to get boring :)

Instructions look complex but easy once you get going
Fast action card game played in rounds of 60 seconds. The twist of the game is the players don’t know when the 60 seconds is up and there are penalties for being mid-play when the timer goes off. The game can be played in teams or as a two player game. Set up is simple with three ‘stacks’ each, a ‘draw’ pile each and a ‘swap’ card each. Cards can be played on any players stack with the aim of having the most number of cases showing on your coloured cards at the end of the 60 seconds. First team to win three rounds wins. We have only played as a two player versions but if playing in teams you simply take it in turns to draw cards. The game is both tactical and frantic but overall good fun. It’s an easy game to follow and would be suited it all ages and abilities. I hope you found this review helpful.

Addicting and Fun
Love. It’s seriously so addictive and easy for younger kids. We really like this game and I’ve gifted it several times as well. Got it on sale and it’s even worth full price! We laugh and have a great time playing. The quality is great, the replayability is amazing, and we can play with two people or big groups. The cards are easy to read and the game is just so well set up.

Fast 2 Player Game - Must Have Timer
I’m always on the look out for good two player games for my husband and I to play together (up to 8 can play though), and when I saw that exploding kittens had a new games we had to try it. We love the exploding kittens brand, and have nearly all of there other games (only the large party games are missing from our collection). This game is very simple, fast paced and fun to play. Note, that you have to provide your own timer that can make some kind of noise in order to play that is not included. We just used our phone. It’s a bit more basic compared to some of their other games, and the art is lacking a bit. I do like that they even included a plastic bag to store the cardboard game piece cutouts. That’s a nice touch. I’d recommend this game if you already have some other more classic games by this company, otherwise I would skip until a sale. It’s a bit expensive for what you get.
