Important component for my turntable setup
I recently upgraded my Douk T3 preamp to a T4 because the latter has a headphone jack while the former does not. Once I started listening to the headphones, I noticed the sound was lacking punch, fullness, etc. and a change was needed. I wanted to maintain form factor to the preamp, so the Douk 5-band EQ fit the bill and was very reasonably priced. It's been a day and I find that, with a little tweaking between records, I can dial in amazing sound that's fantastic with headphones and supremely awesome through my bookshelf speakers. If you love listening to records like I do for their warmth and superior audio, then this component will make your experience even more pleasurable.Setup is:U-Turn Orbit Custom -> Douk Audio T9-> Douk Audio EQ5-Pro -> Fluance ai41 -> Fluance DB10 SubI have no plans to use bluetooth.EDIT: I use Bluetooth all the time now. Works great!

You will need a power amp as well.
I made the mistake thinking that this was an amplifier. You will need a power amp. Same company makes some affordable ones at about $100-$150. As far as build quality, the EQ and Vol knobs on this unit are quite rough, but function fine. Unless you plan to adjust quite a bit, it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Excellent EQ
I have a digital piano with six concert grand VST plugins from Vienna Symphonic Library. For over a year I just couldn't get the right mic placements. For some reason an EQ was flying inside my head. I watched some Youtube reviews and know-how so I decided to buy this Douk Audio and was very happy after tuning the right Hz gain. I have to buy another as a back up. The UV meter looks really nice - thank you.

Did not work out of the Box
VU meters did nothing. Balance pot's center was not physically visibly centered. 10K pot could not be turned more than 60% or so percent or else it would just cut out the signal completely. Other lower frequency pots introduced noise when moved at all. It is too bad, it's an attractive little box with all the features one could need to either run their Bluetooth connected device or their phono. Perhaps mine was bad. Even then it did not work as expected.

Douk Audio's Noisy and Dirty 5 Band Equalizer Bluetooth EQ Preamp
I recently purchased (and liked) the Douk H7 Pro. A nice polite little amplifier that was extremely clean. No distortions or background noises at all. I wanted to clean up some warmth and add some middle frequencies and bought the Pre/Amp Equalizer. It's rated at .003 distortion. Just a fraction under the H7's .008. The unit powered on and in bypass mode its quiet. The equalizer once activated hummed and had a hissing noise that was very disappointing. Turn the dials to neutral on the EQ and the noise disappears. No issues with the cabling or outside sources. It's the EQ. What else is there to say? I bought the EQ to clean up and the thing was a muddy mess. Don't bother with this one.

Want it to be great... Jury is out.
The media could not be loaded. Sounds and looks great with the matching amp. But after a couple of days, the left VU slowly creeps to 3 without input and doesn't return to zero until power cycled and then creeps back up.Have a replacement on the way, will update review accordingly.
