These Ramekins are wonderful, but think twice before ordering through Amazon. The ramikins are the perfect size, depth and thickness. The quality seems to be better than the ones I've seen at stores like Kmart. I used them to make miniature pot pies and then creme brulee and they were awesome each time. The only negative is the packing and shipping by Amazon. Three of the 12 arrived broken beyond repair!!! It was obvious that the packing was woefully inadequate as there was only one balloon like packing material in the box along with cardboard dividers for the ramikins. You could hear the ramikins clinking in the box when the delivery guy dropped them off. This why I gave four and not five stars for this review. I would only buy these again from Amazon if I could not find ones as nice in the a store (like Bed, Bath & Beyond) that I could walk into and take home off the shelf. What's the point if you only get 9 ramikins and you pay for twelve. I had no time to return these ordered from Amazon as I had a party that weekend and these arrived Friday afternoon. Lucklily I only needed 8 of them for that party. Interestingly enough, I received a note from amazon asking me about packing and shipping of a cell phone case that I bought shortly after I bought these ramkins. I did not receive a note about the ramikins. Maybe Amazon already knows about how poorly they are packed?? I appreciate fast shipping with Amazon prime, but again I ask what is the point if you can't use all of the product. For shame Amazon!! Excellent job BIA Cordon Bleu!

Very nice and stack well

I wanted to make individual cherry cobblers for Thanksgiving. These 4 inch diameter ramekins hold 8 ounces and still have room for a puff pastry top. I filled the ramekins, put the crust on the top, baked them all on a cookie sheet, and they turned out perfectly. Then I soaked the now-empty ramekins in a bowl of soapy water for 15 minutes, and the baked on food just melted away. That is the reason I try to buy porcelain baking containers...the ease of clean up.

Been wanting to get these soup ramekins for years, but never had a reason to buy. However recently my Mother in Law had her 75th Birthday and I designed the whole meal. A 50's inspired Murder Mystery with an 8 course meal. There were 20 of us and these 8 oz ramekins were perfect for the soup course. Now I can do entertaining dinner parties anytime! ;)

These BIA Cordon Bleu 8 ounce ramekins were shipped safely without chips, cracks, or breakage. These baking dishes have more uses than for the oven. I use them for dips, sauces, and individual pudding servings. They also store easily, one on top of the other; in stacks two or three. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend to everyone who needs them.

I just got mine today and they are perfect. Even those pesky labels on the bottom of each one came off easily and in one piece. I'm going to make individual fruit crisps in them, perfect size.
