Pacsafe Venturesafe X Anti Theft Hip Pack, Black

The descriptions of these waist packs left me guessing as to which one I should get. So I got both and am providing this information to you to help with the decision-making. Both packs share the same PacSafe security features: RFID pocket, slash-resistant materials and waist band, clever zipper locks. They are even similarly sized and hold about the same. The difference is that the Venturesafe has more compartments and a shorter waist band. The Venturesafe has two front (top) zippered main pockets, a rear top-zipped pocket, a divider in the pocket closest to the body with also a mesh zippered pocket and the RFID pocket. In the front facing pocket it has two small pockets each about 3"x3" and a key holder. It fits comfortably on my 38" waist and looks like it will expand about another 2". The Vibe 100 has two top-zippered compartments. The front pocket has only a key holder; the rear compartment has an RFID sleeve and a divider. It fits my 38" waist with about another 6" to spare. The zippers work more smoothly with the Vibe 100. Both have breathable padding that sits on your waist when worn, making these very comfortable packs to use. So there you have it. Hope this helps with your choice also. By the way, I like them both but favor the Venturesafe as it has more pockets.

Quality is excellent. Description says it takes up to an 8" tablet. The Mini barely fits but I can get the zipper closed if I work at it. It is the curved top of the pack that makes it difficult. A tight fit but I do have a bulky case on it. The various security clips are kind of confusing but once I read the instructions and practiced with them it is easier. Will be using it for international travel since I need to have my hands free.

It took a long time for my product to arrive and seemed stuck in Europe for at least a week. Amazon now says it’s a women’s item, but when I ordered I don’t recall seeing that. Don’t see that it matters. It has a somewhat clever, but tricky security system that takes a while to get used to and is based on the assumption that it would take too long for a thief to figure out. To remove from around the waist you first twist the top, then push down while pulling up. The first few times I had to lower the whole belt down to my feet to step out of it. To adjust the tightness of the belt you first have to remove from around the waist unlike most waist packs that can be adjusted while being worn. I could barely squeeze a five inch wide paperback book into the largest pocket unlike my other waist pack that easily holds it. I wear size 36 jeans and only had a couple of additional inches of adjustment left in the belt. I’ve had a couple of incidences of my waist pack being pick-pocketed so I can see the value of an anti-theft system, although a better solution is to avoid walking around with valuables in risky areas whenever possible.

The waist bag is made with high quality materials and is top notch security features. It would be extremely difficult if not impossible for th etheif to steal your valuables. In my opinion It's impossible for a theif to steal your waist bag, PERIOD!!!

I was a little bit leery of ordering a waistpack for myself as I am small waisted. But this pack was perfect for me. I love all the pockets it has inside; I can keep my stuff nicely organized and it's easily accessed. I am so glad I ordered this item; I will get a lot of use out of it when traveling. It's as secure as heck! Even I had a difficult time figuring how to get the waist belt undone--tricky, but makes me feel secure that my waistpack can't just be easily unsnapped. And the security locks on the pockets are pretty nifty and secure as well. Wished I had had this waistpack when I was in Florence and got pickpocketed...I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have happened.

My third Packsafe bag is just as safe as the two other I own. The zippers are safe and has a lock and it has a RFID blocked pocket to wallet and credit cards. The waist belt is easy to adjust and the bag has a perfect size for carrying wallet, passport, mobilephone. The fabric has good quality and it has cut safe steel mesh woven into the material. Can be recommended.

Excellent fanny pack. There's a few brands to choose from that offer RFID and anti theft features. Pac Safe is by far superior to any of the fanny packs when you're looking for RFID protection along with anti theft. Highly recommend PacSafe brand.

The PAC Safe company has been great over the years. I previously purchased three and never had a problem. The current waste bag does not stay locked. The slide opens on its own. For that I could have purchased any bag.

Such a sturdy and well-made waist pack! Feels secure around your waist, fits small waists as well without the waist strap dangling and flipping about uncomfortably. Roomy enough yet not too bulky. Very pleased with it! Only con was the delivery which took almost 2 months! Almost didn’t make it for my trip.

I’ve been searching for a while for a crossbody bag that was functional and not hideous looking. This ticked all the boxes. And the fact that it has anti-theft functionalities makes it all the better. The roobar can sometimes be a little hard to close correctly, but you get the hang of it. I use it all the time, not to deter theft but to avoid the jingling noise from the zipper pulls. The waist/shoulder strap is not unusually short as stated in some reviews. The large pocket is big enough for a paperback book, sunnies, slim wallet, hand lotion, lip balm, earbuds+carry case. I use it crossbody, either at the front or back. It’s has quickly become my go-to bag for quick errands or when at the park with the kids. Highly recommend!!
