Nice.
Works great. Purchased this to bore precision holes in solid copper rod. Excellent. Took moments to figure out. Excellent torque, great speed control. Instructions are minimal, but was easy to make work. Takes up a small space. Great value. Very solid . I admit I was surprised by how well made it is. Sturdy and somewhat heavy. Great hobby lathe. Nice!

So fun and meditative!
I absolutely love it! As far as a hobby goes I’m digging carving up all sorts of wood and making round stuff. Really sturdy, super easy to use, and as far as value for money I think they could double the price

Great desktop lathe
I've been looking for a mini lathe for a long time. All the others have the drill chuck instead of the lathe chuck. This lathe has opened up many possibilities for my jewelry making hobby and works beautifully. The only downside is, it doesn't want to turn at the very lowest speeds when trying to get a very slow spin. I kind of have to manually turn to get as slow as I need for some things. Not a deal breaker for me as the lowest working speed is fine most of the time. It's still worth buying.

This lathe is powerful enough for more than turning wood
Nice little lathe! I didn't buy this for turning wood I got it to drill holes in brass and it had more than enough power to do the job. When not in use it's small enough to put under a bench or on a top shelf

This is neither a mini lathe nor a toy
This is a miniature lathe. It is built well and solid. Being the "WM101a plus" model it comes with plenty of accessories. I have run it with wood and pewter. It works well. This is a 1 hp (not HP) motor - hamster power not horse power. When turning, take no more than a paper thin layer at a time and it will work very well. Take more and the motor stops but resumes. The lathe tools use standard size carbide blades so replacements easy to get. Again this is a miniature lathe not a mini lathe - it cost more than my Wen mini lathe but this is very convenient to move around and set up, weighing less than 10 lbs. I am pleased and impressed with it.

Meh
It works for simple things but it is weak and can't take a lot of pressure on wood. Not good for acrilic material. I bought it to turn pens but it's not the best.

Good quality.
This is a great option for a mini lathe.

Don't Buy based on price alone
Not what I really needed. After further research I came across a better option. I am returning this. I made the mistake before of buying on price and not what I truly needed.
