Previously used another brand which was just frankly messy. I hated using refills of ink, I saw this and decided to try it out and from the moment it arrived it was a hit with me!!! I liked it so much that I bought one for my 96 year mum as well. The device is well made and comfortable to hold and easy to use. Following the advice from other users, one or two rolls is enough to obscure any print on thr page. The ink dries quickly. Think this represents good value for money.

This is great for covering addresses on envelopes. There is no silly larger text CONFIDENTIAL in the middle either (that makes some of the text underneath visible due to the space added around the larger text). Affordable and works a treat.

So I responsibly shred all my sensitive data but it really annoys me that I have to shred the addresses on all non sensitive data such as catalogues and mail merges etc. I hate that I can’t recycle the shredded paper. So onto this roller. It’s brilliant and does what it says on the tin. Yes, to completely cover all your details you do need to roll it a number of times but it’s not a difficult thing to do. I’ve rubbed the ink and it stays put on standard paper. On shiny labels it does move slightly with a wet finger but it doesn’t reveal the original information. I’ve only just started using it so I have no idea how long it will last but so far it’s a good investment.

Excellent. It does the job really well. As an aside - if you have noticed how in recent years even mid to high priced office shredding machines have increased the width of their shredding cut, meaning that, if you insert paper into a shredder with the print parallel to the cutters, the shredded strip can neatly contain a full line of readable print! (say, your name and address?) so making data-security more difficult just at a time when the reverse is needed. This small camouflage roller stamp is not designed for - and doesn't make any claims - in dealing with bulk erasure, but it is excellent at quickly blanking out a 26mm wide strip of text at one pass. This makes quick work of letterheads and address labels etc. One reviewer complains that it does not come with a cover. It does. You click the top and the cover slides back, revealing the inked roller. Click it again and it covers the roller. It's integral to the machine. The ink is a dense black and well up to the job, however, another reviewer notes that you can occasionally see the underlying text through the ink. In some circumstances this will always be true; if the text is either embossed or glossy then holding the paper at an angle that catches the light will reveal the difference in the paper's surface texture and thus the underlying text. Short of slapping on a coat of gloss paint, you are stuck with this problem, which is beyond the scope and price of this handy little devise. It's at this belt-and-braces moment that you need to call on the additional help of a shredder! I use and recommend both.

Ideal to get rid of names on parcel

I've had this before and it works to hide information you don't want people to see address etc, only roll over it once and it works and let the ink dry if you roll over it multiple times the information is visible and your wasting the ink, works better on normal paper.

The roller seems impressive when you first use it. Wait for the ink to dry though as some types of print are still clearly visible even after several swipes. The stamp is handy but you're better off with a decent cross cutting shredder to destroy personal information.

Le rouleau permet bien de masquer les informations personnelles sur les documents, donc la fonction de base est remplie. Cependant, le résultat n’est pas aussi couvrant que je l’espérais et il faut parfois repasser plusieurs fois pour bien cacher les données. Pour un usage occasionnel ça peut convenir, mais ça ne répond pas totalement à mes attentes en termes d’efficacité et de rendu.
