I did an extensive search on Pole Hedge Trimmers before I made my purchase. I was looking for several features: telescoping pole, cordless, good battery life. The Alloyman 20V Max Pole Hedge Trimmer is AWESOME. It came nicely packaged in a sturdy product box. (I am keeping the box to store the trimmer when it is not in use) It was easy to assemble/disassemble. 2 rechargeable batteries were included. I made sure to charge both batteries before the first use. There is a blade cover/protector for storage when not in use. I used this trimmer last weekend and so pleased with its functioning straight out of the gate. I love the fact that the trimmer telescopes out if needed. The blade head also pivots 90 degrees both ways to help you get those hard to reach places. I used the trimmer continuously for about 90 minutes and the first battery was still going strong! After finishing the yardwork, I put that battery on charge and it was ready in about 90 minutes. Very impressive.My only complaints: 1) The included shoulder strap is completely nonfunctional for me. It actually makes the trimmer more difficult to use when attached. :( 2) The trimmer does get a bit top heavy when telescoped all the way out, but that is to be expected. The consumer just needs to learn how to use the product safely.This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Makes doing the landscaping actually fun!! A wonderful product!! And, the $30 coupon on purchasing was another big plus! I highly recommend the Alloyman 20V Max Pole Hedge Trimmer. It is definitely a game changer!! :)

Great pole saw- easy to use, battery last a long time.

This Alloyman 20 MAX Pole Hedge Trimmer is exactly what I needed to enable me to trim around the yard without the need for a ladder. The blades were sharp and I had no problems cutting through the shrubs that border my property. I actually completed one side of the yard with plenty of power remaining in the first battery.It is not really an issue but the Alloyman products look a lot like Dewalt, right down to the color and shape of the battery. As a Dewalt power tool user, I thought I was going to have the ability to use the batteries interchangeably but that was not the case. Otherwise, this appears to be a very good product, out of the box and for my first use.

The reviews don't lie. We are almost 70 and struggled to trim our tall hedge trees. From a 4 hour, 2 person job to a 2.5 hour 1 person finish. Only used a ladder to reach the top 1 foot. Only a few hang upstairs in the branches, otherwise speedy, easy trim.One battery lasted the entire time, adjustable direction blade is such an excellent feature for easy of cutting. Light weight, easy to hold and balanced. The price is a tremendous value.

I read reviews for several long handled hedge clippers and wasn't impressed with any of them. This one had limited reviews and I decided to try it out. I was more than pleased with the results. I used it today on several bushes, including an overgrown mass of hyacinth that is about 20 ft in length and over 7 ft high. This clipper extended to the longest point and I was able to trim it with relative ease. The adjustable clipper head allowed me to trim the highest point in a straight line. I also trimmed 4 full grown burning bushes, 2 very large rhododendrons and some miscellaneous shrubs. It took me about 45-60 minutes total on 1 battery with charge remaining. That was surprising and a bonus. If I had any complaint at all, and its more of a observation, it's that the whole unit can be a bit weighty if you use it long enough without a break. I'm 69 yrs old and weigh 150 lbs and my arms felt like I had lifted weights for the first time in 40 yrs. Not overwhelming but I think it's par for the course for any if these extendable hedge cutters. I will update after I've used this for an extended period for endurance. For now my first impression is its worth the cost.

I was able to shape this 8-9 ft. Holly bush with no problem in about 10 minutes. Relatively light weight and powerful. Particularly liked the ability to adjust the angles on the blade portion. A very good buy for the cost. No dangerous ladders needed.

Giid quality, lightweight easy to use,battery last long time. Great for smaller bushes,not so great on bigger thicker bushes. Design is great and works well.

I bought this to clear a path in the woods which was overgrown by rag weed, golden rod and briers. It did an ok job but if you get more than a few branches in between the cutting blades at once , it will stop the cutting action. Don’t think that it will cut a branch just because it fits inside the cutter. Soft wood and smaller branches works ok but forget about cutting Rhododendron. This will not cut anywhere near as good as an electric hedge cutter. The versatility it gives you over an electric cutter was my reason for buying. It gets quite heavy after a short period of time. The strap that comes with it is junk.Would I buy it again? Probably. The price was right . Made well. Works ok when cutting things on the ground but not great. Bottom line, it needs more power. Don’t know if any of the other brands provide any more power. If so , that would be the one I would go with.
