LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS ICE FEAST!!!
I wanted to use the machine for a while before reviewing it. It's been 4 months since we plugged it in and I must say we love our ice machine. It is easy to use and makes a batch of ice pretty quickly. We have not unplugged it once. There is an ice machine where I work. It works fine. It's smaller and not all of the parts are food grade quality. I chose this product because it is larger and the parts are a suitable grade for food. I don't understand the negative reviews for the ice size. You can easily toggle back and for between large and small bullets. It's pretty quiet. You do hear the ice falling into the basket after it's made, but it's not a nuissance. Bugged the cats for a day, but now they ignore it. Again we love our ice machine and hightly reccomend it.

Hope I can return it.
It worked for 4 batches of ice. Will not work now. Over $200.00 for not much ice is disappointing.

NO ICE CUBES We are talking PELLETS here
I bought this based on the glowing reviews and will be sending it back. Firstly, this machine does NOT make ice cubes. It makes 2 sizes of 'pellets'. One is the size of rabbit poop and the other is approx. 1/3 the size of an actual ice cube from your plastic ice tray (which I will be switching back to). Also, if your GE ice maker failed like mine did, and they want $700 to send a guy out, you are likely filling up trays and freezing them then dumping the cubes in the old ice bucket in the freezer. Well, when you put these pellets in there, they fuse together into a giant block of ice and the auger on my front door dispenser cant break this iceberg up.The water reservoir is big, but the cube tray is quite small, so it shuts off after only a few loads leaving the most of the water in the tank. Also, it asks you to add water while the res is still 1/4 full...so there is always some standing water in there that has to be drained. This machine is large..BIGGER than a breadbox and has the fan on the back, so you cannot push it against your backsplash..you have to leave space so it takes up a LOT of room.If it made usable sized ice cubes, I would keep it, but it really is pretty useless unless you just need some pellets for a small drinkipoo. The cleaning, the emptying every 2 hrs or so and the pellet sized cubes make this more trouble than filling up ice trays and putting them in the freezer every few days.

The unit makes ice good but the light control panel cover is made out ...
The unit makes ice good but the light control panel cover is made out of paper and just started peeling off. What a shame to spend that money and have the push button control panel made of paper ? Makes no sense.

Produces (smallish) ice cubes fairly quickly
This does exactly what it is supposed to do: make ice and make ice quickly.I fill the reservoir with filtered water and the system does not add any 'extra' flavor to the ice, it tastes/smells just like the filtered water - in other words, like water. It does produce ice quickly, I haven't timed it, but whatever they are saying in the description is pretty accurate. It comes with a small scooper that I initially discounted but it fits inside the ice bucket and is perfect for scooping out ice. Hence the very descriptive name: ice scooper. Here's the things to be aware of:* The ice cubes are not big. Make sure you read the description, get out a ruler and understand the size you will be getting. This will not produce the same size as you are probably producing now in ice trays.* The unit itself is not a freezer for the ice that it has produced. If you don't keep moving the ice to your freezer, it will eventually melt. The water that is melted goes back into the reservoir so it isn't lost, but that really isn't the point of the machine. I normally transfer the ice over to my freezer after a couple of batches have dropped. I have found that if I let too much go into the bucket, the cubes get wet from melting, and when put into the freezer, will then freeze together that other people have referred to.* Don't let it run overnight. It just won't work. It will fill up with ice, stop producing more, and melt.* It is big on the kitchen counter. Check the dimensions and check your counter. I only pull mine out a couple of evenings a week and make a bunch that lasts for a couple days.* The ice is not clear but oh well, it is ice.Overall, this makes a large amount of ice in an evening. You need to be a participant in the process (scooping out ice, adding water, listening, swirling the ice in your tumbler, that kind of stuff). If you want large ice cubes, go get big ice trays and put them in your fridge. If you just need ice, this is your Huckleberry.

I love this machine
I love this machine! After my refrigerator ice maker went out for the third time I decided I wasn’t going to spend the money to fix it again. This little machine puts out a ton of ice. We need a lot of ice and we never run out. I just dump the ice in the freezer compartment and use the ice dispenser on the fridge door to get ice. Works great. I just empty the machine when I go by and it has ice in it. I clean it out about once a week. Just make sure it has water in it. And, a note: if you turn the machine completely off when you turn it back on it has to get cold, again, to start freezing cubes..

If it made ice, it would be great
I bought this in Sept, finally got it out to make a little ice, and it wont work@!!, put water in it, the tray loads up with water, but the fan wont turn on, and it won't cool. In about 8 minutes, it dumps the water and starts all over. It has been plugged in for over 2 hours and I have nothing, this is, without a doubt, my worst purchase ever from Amazon, they should call it a water mover, caus thats all it does. If you order this, you better not want your drink "on the rocks" caus it aint happening
