I installed this in our guest bedroom which doubles as my husband's craft room whenever we don't have guests (so, most of the year). We have a murphy bed that folds up so lot of floor space when it is in craft room mode, but it is annoying to have to lug tables in and out when we have guests. This folding table is great because we can just fold it down when we need the bed, and it is very sturdy when opened out.Installation was easy, the positions of the brackets are not fixed/predrilled on the table so you get to use what works best. I put both of my brackets into studs, and centered a line of screws on the studs because they're offset too wide to get both columns of screws into one stud. If you get it into a stud it is fine to not put screws in the other column, it is plenty sturdy. If you do, make sure to use drywall mollys - I would get better ones than what were included. Make sure to predrill especially if you are using the included screws as otherwise you risk twisting the head offI used a level to mark my bracket positions on the wall first and then installed the brackets and only then installed the top to the brackets (while already on the wall) - if you plan on installing it yourself, do it this way as you'll need help if you install the brackets and then onto the wall. This also helps you get it perfectly level and centered on the studs.The desk surface is smooth and shiny on the top and looks great, also easy to clean. The bottom is a bit rougher to the touch so you can tell it is the bottom, but it looks the same. Very pleased with this overall and may end up getting a second for the same room.

Piece of crap. First thing the screws supplied to attach table top to wall hinges are too long. Popped holes in the thin Formica top when securing it. Second, the legs of the wall portion of the hinge bracket are too short to even support the empty table when it is extended. Too much leverage for drywall ( even though I used 100# capacity wall anchors (6). Did not attempt to use the cheap drywall shields supplied. Bottom line it pulled from the wall leaving me with a drywall repair. Don’t waste your money. Might work if it can be mounted to studs.

Could not get to 2 of the screw holes to mount the table top and the screws they sent did not hold

Purchased this as a small folding table for the laundry room. The table looks nice and works well. It is a bit expensive for what you get but the other options are limited.

I have a large dining room so i always though I needed a large table. But it's just me so I never use the table and it was just taking up space. So I got rid of the dinning room table and installed this instead (and by installed this I mean my brother installed this for me) and I couldn't be happier. I used the extra space to set up a kids play area for the nieces and nephews (as I am the fun aunt, after all) and the dogs have plenty of room to rough house now. And when I am not using it, which is most of the time, poof! it goes away.
