Right tool for the job
At the beginning of the year I cranked up my workouts with an emphasis on my core. Then couldn’t figure out why I had low back pain… duh! This gadget allows me to continue my core strengthening goals because it relieves that low back pain.

Gets into those knots
My muscles get tight in between my shoulder & this is the only thing that gets me relaxed. It’s like a constant elbow working the muscles.

wheel for back exercise
the wheel itself is nice heavy and the small wheel is also nice heavy.... what I think... it depends on the needs of those who use it, for me it completes the work of the other wheels and therefore they are not comparable they simply complement each other, to provide a complete stimulus to my back. In the heat it slips a little, to start the exercise, but once set you can roll well, I also use a weight of 2, 4, 10 kg to put more pressure on the back, and then before using the wheel, I do a little inversion on the bench, and a little swinging at the bar

These can be good for popping your spine when adjustment is needed.
- The original brand for this type of “tire”, as well as other generic versions I feel are better than this one. The prior ones were more comfortable and easier to use because they had some flexible give to the material to cushion the spine. I can’t say particularly if one works better than the other though. - This “tire” is rock hard everywhere! The material is solid with no give at all. And there is a rigid piece of plastic on the under ring that has no give at all. - These “tires” are harder to use than a foam roll because they require a lot more balance. - While they work best on a hard surface, I have used them on a moderately firm mattress (but a foam roller does better in that position). This can be important for those who have trouble getting on/off the floor (at any time or particularly when your back goes out). - The “spinal space” that they use as a selling point isn’t really a relevant feature. First you have to successfully line up your spine in the small groove, while still balancing in the initial attempt of get on the roll. Second, I haven’t found this to be an issue on the traditional flat style, but with the raised bumps it is more of an issue on this one. - Speaking of bumps, these are rock hard!

Easy to roll on and works great at loosen up the back.
This back roller is wide enough that I’m not worried about falling off of it. I’ve had tall ones like this in the past, but they were narrow and didn’t feel stable. I’m able to get some really good deep cracks with this roller. The top layer is firm enough to press pretty hard, but soft enough that it doesn’t hurt. Gives me a good deep stretch and realignment. The peanut is great for the lower back. It gets into the groves without putting pressure directly on my spine. A fun little exercise chart is included, which gave me some ideas for stretches that I would have never thought of. Overall, a really nice addition to my back pain relief kit.

Fun to use!
I have never used a back roller wheel before, so I have nothing to compare this one to, but it seems to be very high quality. It has some weight to it and is sturdy. The massage ball is also heavy and high quality. It comes with a paper with pictures of several different exercises you can do with it. I did several of the exercises and it definitely helps you stretch and improve balance. It also feels good to lean against it when it is up against a wall if you have a backache. I am sure there are many videos online with even more ideas of ways to use this back roller wheel than the ones on the paper included. I definitely think that using this regularly would be a good way to improve posture and balance, and strengthen muscles. It is actually fun to use and I see it getting a lot of use at our house.

Kind of like a medieval torture device
I’m not a roller wheel novice, though the ones I usually use are smooth, foam padded and with a spinal groove. The knobs remind me of a rough cobblestone path. This wheel is on the larger size and the knobs are quite prominent. It comes with a guide sheet depicting the different ways it can be used not for just the back, but for the total body. It’s difficult to line up with the spine. Whereas other wheels have a groove so that too much pressure isn’t applied to the spine directly, this one doesn’t. 3 stars because it’s made well, it’ll last a long time, and the massage peanut is useful (Especially on calves and feet). It loses two stars because the roller wheel can be painful to use.
