Caffè Borbone Coffee Compostable Pods, Recyclable Wrapping, Gold Blend - 150 Pods - ESE System

I first tried the Blue blend and then went on to Gold, which I prefer, and is well worth the extra few pennies per cup. I have a couple of pods every day. The coffee is smooth and has a great flavour and crema. I'm on my 3rd box, and I will continue to buy. The pods have been very reliable, and go into our food recycling bin. The wrappers go into our foil recycling.

Benefits from a gentle squeeze from the sides to break up the granules, otherwise the brew can be a little weak.

I’ll keep it simple. The coffee is good, the price is good, and the quantity, exactly what i’ve been loking for!

I spotted these on Amazon and after balancing up the price with the great comments I thought I’d take the plunge. However unfortunately I can’t comment on the Caffe Borbone Gold that I ordered having not tried it. For some reason after I ordered the Gold from Amazon they sent me the wrong Coffee and Instead I received the Blue version from the same range. I was not initially impressed by the error, but as I hadn’t tried the blue I thought I’d give it a go. I’ll briefly describe the most important factors: the aroma, body and all important taste. Aroma - When removing the pod from the packaging the aroma was not what I’d expected; quite strong and a smell of being heavily roasted. Having tried Illy on numerous occasions I am used to the sweet caramel notes so this was quite different. After making the coffee using my machine, I noticed a more pleasant smelling coffee, very coffee shopesque like you’d expect. Body - the coffee was dark and rich when brewed with an excellent crema. I have noticed that when using the ESE pods the crema always seems to be more considerable than when ground. Taste - the coffee tastes authentically Italian, not too strong (given the blue is meant to be more mid strength) with a mildly but not to bitter note. I would describe this coffee as more of a dark chocolate with a citrus note. If you are expecting caramel notes or a sweetness you may be better looking elsewhere. This coffee isn’t too strong but after a cup or two you’ll feel awake and ready for the day. Overall

I tried the Gold and now the Blue blends and they are both great coffee. I would prefer the Blue blend if drank as espresso, rich full- bodied flavour but with no bitterness aftertaste (I drink it without sugar). Real Neapolitan coffee. Looking at previous reviews, I decided to count the pods in the box, all ok, they were 150, no one more no one less.

at least 10 or 20 percent is not coffee, only water comes out, I can't understand what you put in it, you get paid for your coffee, you are not giving us anything for free

Dans la gamme de leurs cafés proposés j'ai tout goûter en dosette ESE et je ne suis absolument pas déçu que du contraire je suis satisfait à tout point de vu, vous pouvez avoir le café doux, fort, crémeux et avec amertume. Vous avez pour tout les goûts. Le café oro est un café doux avec beaucoup de goût. Je vous recommande et après vous avez différents amertume d'après vos goûts.
