Meh its alright. You get what you pay for I suppose. The level of loose carbon dust is unfortunate and I personally washed it mildly to remove the excess and then placed it into a DIY filter sock to prevent a black dust storm in my fish tank.The pads are quite course and seem to work fairly well. Handy for when you need a filter sponge to slap on something. If you wash the vigously you can use them almost identically to non-carbon filter pads. It is unfortunate just how dusty they are when they arrive. You really need to give them a good rinse before use.I plan on using these once vigoursly cleaned as misc pads and once lightly cleaned to polish my water up and remove some medicine.

This is an extremely poor imitation of the real product. It lacks the carbon that is essential and is essentially a block of foam. A waste of money.
