English Grammar Workbook For Dummies with Online Practice

I love study these book because they say for dummies but there college graduate material

I ordered this for a class, "How to Write and Publish a Novel," which I'd highly recommend, if you want to be successful in novel writing. I had to order this grammar book as part of the course. I already have a degree in journalism and consider Grammar as one of my best subjects. However, this book was fun to read. The author did a great job making it interesting and providing exercises also, as I read through the book. I learned even more and keep it as a great reference tool also.

This book is packed with exercises and useful tips. It starts from basic verbs and nouns, and moves onto punctuation, dialogue, and more advanced writing skills. I am finding this book very useful, as an aspiring horror and mystery writer. I need to brush-up on my grammar skills, and having this workbook, plus the English Grammar for Dummies book, has really helped me with some of my personal goals. Thanks, and I highly recommend this book.

This book works great for tutoring students that need a little extra help with grammar fluency. This is a book with functional grammar--it does not cover specific parts of speech or any of the depths of linguistics but covers things such as subject-verb agreement, pronoun-verb agreement, etc.I have used this workbook to tutor some of my college peers that are English Language Learners and it seems to have worked pretty well. I would recommend this as a resource to use along side other resources and curriculum when tutoring. The book will also work well for independent study.

English Grammar Workbook For Dummies (For Dummies (Language & Literature)) This book, with its companion 'English Grammar for DUMMIES', are wonderful tools for those of us who need to refresh our skills. I highly recommend this book for native speakers of the English language, and for those whom speak English as a second language. The author's ability of explaining the English language grammatical rules, in my opinion, is fantastic.

The item came to me gross. It had some type of dead bus or something on the back.

One of the things that makes this workbook so great is the clarity of the questions' answers. I rely on it for the college writing classes I teach.

It made my neice smarter ( brain not mouth need no help there)

Great companion to the text

The book is scratched on front and behind. Not really respectful to a buyer since I bought it as a "new" book.

I bought this book with a view of understanding this subject. It was useful and informative. On it's own I felt it was a good read.
