Lykke Double Pointed Needles Gift Sets (Large US 6-13 Set in Grey Denim Pouch)

Received this set a couple days ago. I currently have Chiaogoo and Knitters Pride dpn’s in smaller sizes but I needed the bigger needles to finish a couple hats. I was very anxious to receive them. As soon as the driver arrived (yes, I was waiting like a kid on Christmas morning :)) I opened the package and 🤩. These needles feel so nice in the hands. I quickly pulled out my 3 hats and finished all three. Lovely needles, feels nice in the hands, the yarn didn’t slip off the needles, just a lovely set. You won’t be disappointed. I feel like this set will last for years to come.

I wanted to knit Christmas ornaments this year but needed larger size DPNs. I usually use my mini’s/shorties but couldn’t use them for the patterns I wanted to knit, and I also didn’t want to do the magic loop. I figured, I held off long enough and decided to purchase the Lykke DPNs. Let me just say, I was not disappointed. From the time of purchase, I have already knitted several Christmas ornaments. These wooden DPNs are smooth, but yet applies a light grip to the yarn, unlike the bamboo type. I actually appreciate these DPNs so much that I will probably use them on a regular basis, especially when knitting sleeves. The colour I chose is the grey driftwood because it was the least expensive from the serveral choices I had; not so pretty, I know. For me, anything over $100.00 is expensive enough, but hopefully, these DPNs will last me a long time.

I had surgery to decompress my ulnar nerve and had part of my ulna removed in September. I have lingering numbness and tingling in two of the fingers on my dominant hand. The metal needles I usually knit with were aggravating my hand fatigue and pain, so I got these. They are fantastic for my hands. As a copywriter and someone whose hobbies are knitting, crocheting and beading, I do a lot of fine motor movements with my hands for 10-14 hours per day, every day. These needles actually reduced my hand fatigue. They warm up after a few minutes of use to match the temperature of your skin, so they feel warm. The middle part has the US and metric sizes on it. The tips are not blunt but not pointy. The finish is smooth. The only small problem was the smell of the case when I first opened it. That odor dissipated when I left the case open for a couple of days.

These are worth the money spent. So solid, smooth, and really pretty. I love the natural polished birch. The tips are just right, not too blunt not too sharp. They also come in a nice "wallet" for storage (I like to stay organized).

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lykke knitting needles. I needed some larger sized double pointed needles, and had tried a number of cheap alternatives. These are world class needles. They are so smooth, polished and have perfect points, not too sharp that it divides the yarn strands, but perfect for knitting difficult yarns. My yarn slides across the needles like butter. I swear these have made me knit faster. I'm looking forward to being able to buy the dpns in individual sets (I'm told sometime this summer?), rather than having to buy the whole set. The warranty is great as well. They really stand by their (very high) quality products. Their customer service people are friendly and very helpful.

I've been using this company for my knitting needs. They are a bit pricey so when I saw this I had to get it. Everything looks great.
