Q: How do I turn it on? I plugged it into the wall, and nothing has happened. I turned on the timer too and it hasn’t turned on yet

There is an on/off button separate from the timer buttons. It’s below the timer button. You turn it on and then set the timer to the hours you want. I have two of these lights and they both work great. Hope that helps!

Q: Part 2 how to turn on. the red bottom doesn’t do anything. when i click it, it turns blue and no buttons work. shouldn’t the light turn on?

Have you tried clicking the + sign at the top? Maybe somehow the light is turned all the way down, though I honestly don't know that it is possible. If that doesn't work, I would contact the manufacturer for a replacement.
