Average noise-cancellation but for the price it's fantastic
It cancels out most of the 'outside' noise but not all of it. You can still hear 'outside' noises sometimes but the noises are greatly muted/reduced, which is sufficient for me, especially for the price. If complete noise cancellation is what you need, then I'd recommend looking at other headphones. If you're fine with just reducing a good chunk of the noise, these are great for the price. No issue pairing with my laptop, haven't tried pairing with other devices.

Amazing sound, great value
These are astonishingly good headphones. I bought these from Amazon never having heard them. I'm a musician with a pair of JBL monitors that sound great, so I took a chance. The sound separation is excellent, and the fidelity is better than my dear old Sennheiser 280s, which have been a staple of studios throughout the world. I listened to Vaughan Williams 5th symphony with these headphones and nearly started weeping it sounded so good.! Of course, these are active electronics headphones so that is already an advantage. If you are a fan of overproduced pop and hip hop, these may not be for you; get some high end Beats headphones. But if you want to hear music as it was intended from the studio, these are terrific. I've never heard Bose headphones, but I'm willing to bet that they don't sound twice as good as these at twice the price.

Quality Product
I've had these headphones for awhile now and must compliment the quality and longevity of the product. I use these regularly at the gym and even though I sweat profusely, the ear cups have remained in good condition. The battery life is great, I've only charged it 7-8 times thus far since purchasing, and functionality remains consistent. Great audio quality and the noise cancelation delivers as promised. Great buy.

Uncomfortable fit. Good noise cancelling. Excellent fidelity. Volume increments not fine enough.
The JBL headphones have excellent fidelity and noise cancelling capabilities. They are fairly comfortable solo, or when worn with a light-blocking blindfold. The ear cups are not large, which is a bit uncomfortable for me. The tension in the headband is too much and leads to fatigue around the ear and jaw. This is a heavyweight headphone, so the cushion at the top of the headband, where it meets the skull, is inadequate and causes discomfort. This can be corrected by wearing the headphones upside down, with the headband under the jaw. This position eliminates the skull discomfort, but leads to the headband rubbing on clothing and chest, transferring unwanted noise inside the ear cups. This position also changes the quality of the sound, and the heavy weight of the headphones then pulls down on my ears causing discomfort. The increments on the volume adjustment are too large. Not an ideal product.

Hardware buttons are king
I've been through all the major brands (Sony, RODE, Audio Techs, Bose, Tozo, Anker) at all price points with $400 being my most expensive purchase. Truth is, all these brands have gone down and price literally does not matter anymore. These sound good, has decent ANC, but best of all, HARDWARE BUTTONS! No stupid sensitive touch buttons. These JBLs are also the best at auto switching I've had so far.So yeah, 5 stars for me. :)

This is most definitely worth the money. It cancels the noise out so well. My son will wear them while working out in the gym. They are designed well for staying on during a work out.

Excellent quality
Best headphones I've owned so far! Very comfortable over the ears and I love the option of setting them "ambient aware" or noise canceling. By the way, noise canceling setting is exceptionial!

Great sound quality
They’re a good set, wished that they fit over the ears better more of a on the ear than overHoping that the head piece will get looser over time it’s tight. or it could be that my head and ears are to big. you can’t beat the noise canceling and the sound
