WOW!!!
I like to think I have pretty discerning ears. I am not completely insane but I do have several turntables and a system that probably cost in the 15-20k range. But, despite that system being a room away [and wired into the house's central speaker system] my girlfriend wanted just "a radio". She had been using an old portable. Mostly she is either listening to NPR [good] or "talk radio" [cringe worthy] - and since some of what she listens to is grating - it was made even worse coming through a crappy device. She also wanted an easy way to just throw in a cd. Enter the LeMega M5Despite having a "reference" system -I still like having music in various rooms. And I have often defaulted to Tivoli's products to fill this purpose. No more! I narrowed it down to this model because this is one of the few units to still include a CD [it is still nice to be able to play one from time to time] and its dimensions fit my needs. But after opening this up I was thrilled!!! IT LOOKS AMAZING! AND [more importantly] IT SOUNDS AMAZING! The sound is very natural and musical. The soundstage on this thing is phenomenal. [Still trying to decide - there might be a tad too much bass.] I'm a big fan of full range speakers - personally I think they sound better than a shrunken 2-way configuration. Anyways, for a tabletop unit with all of its limitations - this sounds extremely good.I'm thinking of getting another for my office or another couple for the nieces' dorm rooms. Oh yeah, it looks as good in person as in the pics . Very attractive retro look. And RCA aux in is a big plus - this would be a nice combination with the AR turntable I'm rebuilding :-)

Decent product but a few issues have come up
I really like all of the functionality of this product and the sound is great, but there are a few issues that keep me from giving it 5 stars. First, the equalizer only works for the CD player. For any other function like internet radio, Spotify and network player, changing the equalizer setting has no effect. This normally wouldn't be a big deal for me, but most of the time the minimum volume is very loud and I would like to adjust it down using the equalizer. Also the wifi reception is pretty bad. Just having it in the next room to where the router is the wifi strength is very low. Even when it's only a few feet from the router the wifi signal is only at half strength. It doesn't have an ethernet port so there's no way to avoid this. Overall it's a decent product but it did have a few drawbacks.

Great unit .. bad auxiliary jacks
Great unit clear and loud😀! Only problem is the auxiliary jacks in don't work.. complete static when you plug something in.😪

Some features not working
I wanted to like this, and it's very nice looking, but the 3 features I would use most are either not working at all or not reliably working. First the good: the CD player works well, the sound quality is very good, it's fairly simple to use, and it looks great. Now the not so good: The 3 features I would use the most are 1. internet radio, 2. FM radio, and 3.playing my iPod through the device.1.The internet radio only works some of the time. I have 3 or 4 stations I listen to daily, and some days one or more of them will tell me it can't connect, even though I can connect to the same station over the same wireless router with my phone, standing right next to the LeMega. It occasionally drops off the wireless network entirely, and sometimes will not reconnect for days. All the other devices in my house remain connected during the time it's unable to connect, so I have to conclude it's the LeMega, not the wireless connection.2. FM radio receiver is a joke. I can't pick up any stations clearly with the antenna provided. I listen to radio like most people watch TV (or I guess like most people stream in today's media environment) so on occasion when my comcast connection is down, I want to be able to switch to regular FM radio. I have a cheap iHome device that picks up my stations clearly, with nothing but a little wire antenna, and one of those Crosley Retro radios that more of a conversation piece than a radio and even it gets better reception than the LeMega. And yes, I put them in the same location to test reception, I know that can make a big difference.3. The other main reason I bought this was to have a way to listen to my iPod without headphones. I've been doing this through the iHome device, which works ok but the sound quality is not that great. I was super excited to be getting a quality device I could listen to my music through, but it doesn't recognize my iPod Classic. When I plug it in it just says "Device not supported".I did not test out the bluetooth or Spotify features so I can't comment on them but I'm going to have to return this device since it doesn't really work all that well.

Lovely on paper, but . ..
This machine looks great on paper, but after working fine for two times, it stopped responding, It sees my local network, but fails to connect to it. The manual is of no help. And, of course, too late to return the #1@## thing!

Beautiful music from a beautiful box.
What did I dislike? Only the instruction manual. It emphasizes the operation of the internet Fm and delegates the description of the standard Fm to a small section in the end of the manual. Since the procedure used to set the presets differ, it causes me problems. Otherwise this has been one of the best purchases i’ve ever made with AmazonThe sound is hifi with tremendous bass. Once you master the front panel controls and the equivalent remote controls it is easy to operate. I especially like the sleep function. I pick a station that plays restful music, set the time, and fall into a restful sleep. The build quality of the unit matches its functional quality. It will enhance the room to which it has been assigned.

Not for the technically uninclined
I have had our LEMEGA for over a month. I have set it up three times. Still can't get the stations set. When I had it all set up, the alarm went off at midnight. We thought we had a fire. I think I will order a new Bose with Alexa.
