This will be a different kind of review. For years, I was struggling with very itchy skin between my knees and my ankles on both legs, especially in the winter. I started to take a magnesium supplement, just for General health reasons and I had a sample bottle of Doctors Preferred Magnesium Glycinate so I thought this is as good as any and I tried it. I didn’t take the recommended 420 mg dosage because I felt that I got enough magnesium from my diet. So I took only one capsule a day (210 mg). About a month later all of a sudden I realized that I no longer had itchy scaly skin on my lower legs. I attributed it to the magnesium. I ran out, so I bought a less expensive brand (Natures Bounty)and within a few weeks the itchy and scaly skin came back. So I ordered Doctors Preferred Magnesium Glycinate through the subscribe and save program at Amazon. Got the new bottle and within two weeks, my skin was totally clear again. I must emphasize that everything else has been exactly the same. The only difference is the Doctors Preferred Magnesium Glycinate. I have never in the past heard of magnesium being a skin supplement, but I am living proof that Doctors Preferred Magnesium Glycinate has cured my itchy skin on my lower legs.

No other vitamins or minerals added. 5. Expiration date two years out. Concerns: Although the company states rigid testing, including 3rd-party testing, the bottle does not have a verification stamp from the company that does the testing. Also checked their website and no 3rd party lab identified or a COA provided. Without identifying the lab on the label, the consumer has no verifiable way to determining what is in the bottle. They do have a GMP certified facility, but that is not the same as 3rd Party Testing.
