Bought these to install in a gazebo to deter birds from nesting. They are perfect size and easy to cut where I need too. So far the birds haven’t wanted to build on the spikes. One thing I really like is they are clear and not noticeable.. I am excited to finally install something that will work!

They do NOT work for squirrels. I watched as he did a test step and turned around and then back to the spikes and carefully walked across them to the hummingbird cam that I am trying to keep him away from. They lick the flowers on the feeder and try to pull them out. I also have the wire spikes that don't work either. Supposedly they don't like geraniums. I put a pot on each side. That didn't work either. Really disappointed. I thought these would work.

Economical. Not too hard to install.

The best thing I’ve found to keep cat out of my garden and backyard! We’ve tried other things on the market but ths is the best we have found that wrks!

We found we had to cut these into smaller sections and piece them together more tightly than they came to keep squirrels off the top of a post. Otherwise there was too much room between each of the spikes and a squirrel's small foot could fit for as long as it took them to jump on and off. The post was the launching spot to get to our bird feeder, so we didn't want them to be able to get on it at all. The adhesive worked great outdoors for about 3 months and then bit by bit the pieces failed and fell off. But by then the squirrels had learned to stay off. They were easy to cut and easy to handle.

This certainly will not work if the object you are placing it on is curved. You must cut the pieces smaller to ensure you cover the area you want to place them. Plus it's not esthetically pleasing on some objects: like an outdoor light. :( So far these have not worked, but it may work in another situations. I would consider doing some more research about animal deterrents before you buy this. There are so many companies claiming their animal deterrent products work and they don't. I am going to give this one more try and cross my fingers. Otherwise money lost and back to the drawing board!

Cats walk right on top of these, so it didn't work for me

Very easy to trim pieces to fit. Very little waste. Time will tell about its durability but there was plenty left over for replacement.
