Mad Monkey *insert giggle here* has a Great Taste and Price Tag!
In an effort to only charge by co-workers $0.50/k-cup, I'm always on the lookout for a great k-cup deal on Amazon! I will admit that the name of the coffee is what drew me in but since the initial "giggle", the coffee is what keeps drawing me back in. In an office of 40+, it gives me anxiety to try and choose a coffee that everyone will like - so far, the Midtown Medium and the Lazy Daylight have fit the bill! I've never had an broken or unsealed cups, no weird aftertaste, and no complaints, from an office where complaints fly like winds. My only complaint is that I wish they came in larger sizes. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

Good Coffee, Good Price
Black coffee consumer. Decent cup of coffee. Its on par with cost. Medium cup, flavor is consistent. I use as the office "I need something in the cup always" coffee. I'm known as a bit of a risk taker, for office fun I filter through the value brands to see what is out there. There are some real dogs our there. I would put this one towards the top of the heap in the value category.

Truly a wonderful coffee~!
I order many types of coffee. Always looking for that 'wow' effect at first sip. I am quick to write about a poor product, ie. Timothy and it's bulk pods that tasted like water. This Midtown Medium has a wonderful flavor. No aftertaste and not bitter. It's that type of coffee you have after a great meal in a restaurant. You notice the rich brown, clear coffee indicating it's fresh; take that first sip and wonder where you can buy it. Mad Monkey Coffee is a delightful find and I'm very grateful. Wonderful product and great price.

decent coffee but flawed "Realcup" pods.
The Mad Monkey Midtown Medium coffee itself was ok, especially when you factor in its low price. However, the box of forty-eight that I received had only nine intact "real cups", all of the others had lost their seal making the coffee stale and undrinkable. The Marley coffee company, which is my favorite brand coffee, uses the same type of k-cups branded "Realcup", and usually out of a box of forty-eight there are a few with broken seals. I have seen a box of Marley One Love have up to six defective "Realcups", which is bad, but to have more than 80% of the k-cups be unusable is not acceptable. The only reason to spend the extra money for K-cup coffee is its freshness so I can't recommend this brand. In the picture the pile of cups on the right are all the ones with broken seals and the few on the left are intact. Notice how the ones on the left are puffy and the ones on the right are flat and wrinkly looking.

Flavor is deep and complex, without bitterness or acidity
This review is for Midtown Madness: I tend to gravitate towards darker coffees with a deep "coffee" flavor rather than any of that light, medium, or fancy flavored stuff. I like my coffee to taste like coffee and I want it to be strong enough that I still get a full bodied coffee flavor after adding a little cream and sweetener. But I hate coffee with a bitter taste and acidic aftertaste, which is where most coffees go once they get in the bold flavor range. This coffee promised to be medium range so I had decided I would have one cup and likely pass it off to my teenage son or husband...after tasting it I am keeping it for myself :) This one, wowed me! It is a very deep and complex coffee, full of bold flavor but completely void of bitterness or acidity. Welcome to my new favorite coffee. I am now a subscriber.

Doesn't work with the 2.0 - works great with the K45!
I purchased these thinking they would work with my new Keurig but they don't. It pops up with an error message saying they're not compatible. I didn't see anything on the description saying these wouldn't work with my new machine so I'm pretty disappointed. UPDATE: I've since purchased the original Keurig and love these RealCups. Ended up purchasing a Keurig K45 because I was extremely disappointed with the selection of Kcups. It's expensive enough to buy ANY prepackaged cups for the Keurig, let alone the ridiculously overpriced ones Keurig essentially forced you to buy with the 2.0. The K45 works perfectly with these Mad Monkey RealCups and I really like the flavor. MadMonkey's prices are better than any other brands I've seen so I will continue to buy these!

Great for the Average Joe
I am a "one cup per day" type coffee drinker. I generally like most K-cups, so please keep that in mind. I have long been a drinker of Donut Shop brand and this is right in line with that flavor. It's different, but I like it just as well. I'm the type that doesn't really need the higher end k-cups all the time. I do notice the difference in a Starbucks or other top dollar brand, but for day to day, this is great coffee - especially for the price.

Bittersweet, flavorful great cup of coffee
Great price on 48 pods. Interesting flavor, unique with a bit of spice (just a hint lurking around in there.) Bittersweet as advertised. You can hear the difference in the Mad Monkey pod/filter when it brews, as well. It just sounds different in the Keurig than other pods...and the resulting flavor says the Flavor Max filter is working! A hit in my household so far, and we tend to be dark roast people. I think we'll hang out with Mad Monkey for a bit and experiment with different offerings.
