One of the Best Value Creator Gimbals I’ve Used - still compelling in 2026
The FeiyuTech SCORP Mini 2 is one of those rare pieces of camera gear that somehow becomes more compelling with time instead of less. In a market where many gimbals have become increasingly specialized - either dedicated to smartphones or designed only for heavier mirrorless rigs - the SCORP Mini 2 still stands out in 2026 as an incredibly versatile all-in-one stabilization solution for creators who shoot across multiple devices. At around $159 for the full kit, it honestly feels like one of the better values in the content creator space right now. What makes the SCORP Mini 2 still relevant in 2026 is that it solves a real-world problem many creators actually have: switching between cameras. A lot of us don’t just shoot on one device anymore. You might use a mirrorless camera for interviews or cinematic footage, your phone for quick social clips, and an action cam for behind-the-scenes or travel content. Instead of buying three separate stabilizers, the SCORP Mini 2 handles all of them surprisingly well. The included kit is also genuinely useful instead of padded with filler accessories. In the box you get: * SCORP Mini 2 gimbal * Carrying case * Wireless fill light * Extension rod * Tripod * Smartphone clamp * GoPro adapter * Expansion accessories * Mounting cable and fixed plate That’s basically an entire portable creator rig in one package. A huge reason the SCORP Mini 2 still gets positive attention is the ergonomics. The SCORP-style handle design is simply more comfortable for long handheld sessions than many traditional stick-style gimbals. It makes low-angle tracking shots and dynamic movement much easier without putting unnecessary strain on your wrist. The built-in AI tracking is another feature that aged surprisingly well. In 2026, solo content creation is bigger than ever, and having subject tracking built directly into the gimbal remains incredibly useful for YouTubers, presenters, musicians, fitness creators, and small production teams. It allows creators to effectively “self-operate” moving shots without needing another camera operator. What’s especially impressive is that FeiyuTech included features at this price point that some larger brands still reserve for higher-end models: * Built-in AI tracking * 1.3” touchscreen * Fill light * Multiple device compatibility * Compact foldable design * Bluetooth and app controls * Expansion support That combination still feels aggressive even by 2026 standards. My own experience aligns with the multiple reviews which describe the footage as smooth and cinematic, especially with lightweight mirrorless cameras and smartphones. The stabilization performance feels polished and confidence inspiring for a gimbal in this price range. The portability is another major advantage. Larger gimbals can quickly become something you leave at home because they’re bulky or annoying to travel with. The SCORP Mini 2 hits a sweet spot where it’s small enough to realistically carry regularly while still being capable enough for professional-looking footage. This balance between portability and functionality is one of the product’s strongest qualities. In 2026, the SCORP Mini 2 feels less like a “budget alternative” and more like a smart practical choice for hybrid creators who prioritize versatility, portability, and value over brand prestige. For creators shooting YouTube videos, social content, travel films, podcasts, behind-the-scenes footage, real estate walkthroughs, music videos, or lightweight commercial work, this is still a very relevant and genuinely compelling buy in 2026.

PORTABLE COMPACT STABILIZER PACKED WITH BUILT IN SMART FEATURES
Swapping to a lightweight footprint for dynamic tracking shots requires a stable motorized base that does not weigh down the operator. 🎬 This compact stabilization tool makes a solid addition to an existing gear kit when flying smaller setups. Mounting a small mirrorless body or an action cam takes only a few minutes because the sliding plates adjust smoothly. Actually the built in AI tracker and fill light module add serious utility for solo shoots where tracking a subject thru a tight space is necessary. The 1.3 inch touch screen is fast and allows for quick mode adjustments without constantly digging into a phone application. 🎬 This unit is not designed to handle heavy professional cinema bodies but it handles small mirrorless configurations perfectly. Balancing the setup is straightforward and the motors remain completely silent even during fast pan movements. The physical chassis features an ergonomic slanted handle that feels balanced in my hand during low angle run and gun sequences. The value here is INTENSELY GOOD for the sheer volume of integrated features packed into the kit. MY FINAL THOUGHTS For a lightweight tracking option that handles multi device setups smoothly, this compact stabilizer delivers exceptional performance. 'As an exclusive contributor to a prominent stock media agency with 25 years of experience in freelance photography and videography, I offer informed and professional opinions of camera and video equipment.' I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year. ★★★★★ (5 Stars): A 5 star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.

Fantastic piece of gear
If you have been searching for a way to elevate your video content to the next level, here is a great way to do it. This is a lightweight and easily portable piece of gear that is super versatile and can be used with many different styles of cameras. I am using it with an iPhone 17. It was very easy to set up and it is super functional. There are numerous online references detailing the set up and use of this stabilizer, and they are very informative and valuable. Controls are easy to access and pretty intuitive. This item is a terrific value for the money and will definitely improve your video creations.

Complete Kit, Silky Smooth Footage
The Scorp Mini 2 kit comes packaged in a solid carry case with everything you'd need for just about any camera setup — phone holder, fill light, lens support bracket, action camera clamp, cables for multiple devices, and a reach-pull extension for getting extra height or distance. It's a genuinely complete package. Setup takes a little patience the first time — three axes to balance before powering on — but once you've done it once it becomes routine. Good tutorial videos are available online. The collapsible tripod legs double as a handle or a standalone base with auto-tracking, which is a huge plus for solo creators. Works with mirrorless cameras and smartphones beautifully; just don't expect it to handle a heavy body with a long telephoto. The stabilization is smooth and the results speak for themselves. If you're serious about getting cinematic footage, a gimbal isn't optional — and this one delivers.

Price to performance ratio is amazing
It won't take rigged out cameras but careless mirrorless work without issues. Actually the payload is very decent for the size. Easy to use and setup, small in size, big on compatibility. Love the handle position. All materials seem to be very high quality too. For the price it is excellent

Solid Choice for Video Filming
Just so happens that my best friend and business partner works in filmmaking. You won't see his work in movie theaters (not yet at least), but he has some DVDs, music videos plus other streaming content to his credit. He also shoots a good number of commercials. He was happy with how easy it was to use this as a video stabilizer. His reasons included the fact that it's well-made, sized right, stable, compatible. Plus the movement is smooth, it functions really well, and he experienced no issues with the Bluetooth pairing. Typically these sorts of stabilizers run a bit more, but this is a solid price and value. He told me that the name brand ones are usually much more expensive, yet this one works every bit as good as the bigger name stabilizers on the market today. It gets a thumbs up from him, and five stars.

Great piece of gear
Bad points out the way first - the manual is terrible and you have to figure out how to construct it yourself, which is not too hard, once you figure out that some of the parts you need are in a hidden section of the case behind a soft panel (which no one tells you about!) Also it doesn't work with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k as the camera is too wide for the side mounting plate, which I found out the hard way, so had to return it unfortunately. On the positive side however, it's very well made, beautifully constructed and a classy looking piece of gear...it's a shame it didn't work for me, I would definitely have kept it otherwise

Eye / Face tracking works well
Purchased after reading other reviews on the web. Works well when filming video, and friends were impressed with the automatic face tracking feature.
