Our main changing pad is a wipe-clean design; this was my first time using a soft foam model. It's very cushy, which is great for the newborn stage. However, it only comes with a single fabric cover, and the cover is not in any way waterproof. Since babies have a tendency to pee when their diaper is removed, this makes the changing pad pretty impractical (unless you spend more money for additional covers). Plus the covers have to be fully zipped on and off, which isn't the most fun when you have a soiled cover to deal with. This didn't end up working for our family - wipe clean still reigns supreme for us - but if the downsides to washing covers doesn't bother you, this is a nice soft option. The sage green color is beautiful and gender neutral.

These are made of a nice quality fabric and have the gripper dots on the bottom so it doesn't slide during changes. They are easy to get on and off. The zipper works well, but I always hang dry these after washing.
