It looks nicer than a plastic container but the holes are too big even for large seeds that get stuck so you have to use paper or muslin a lot.

To be honest I'm surprised at how well this worked on pulses but reserve opinion on sprouting small seeds. My first attemptwith alfala wasn't a great success (but I'm sure I can do better!) Looks more attractive than most sprouters.

Works great. terracotta trays could be a bit taller in order to grow bean sprouts ..

I can't agree with previous reviews I'm afraid. There are no ventilation holes in the pot so, even though I follow the instructions and rinse the sprout seeds daily, a fine white spider-web like mould grows over them within a day- presumably from the moisture in the clay. Doesn't work as far as I'm concerned. Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong! Expensive waste of money at the moment.

Love it. I know it's expensive but it's very lovely and works well and aesthetically pleasing and in constant use in our house.Mostly sprout mung beans,.Has stopped me buying sprouts In health food shop. So Abingdon money in the end .

Other types of sprouter tend to fail, because the seeds become too wet and turn into a gelatinous mass, like frog spawn.
