Rockport Men's Evander Moc-Toe Oxford

I bought these shoes going on 2 years ago now and they have held up so well. They are a bit firm until you get them broken in (a week or so) and then they are very comfortable. I use these for a professional work environment (Shirt and tie) and have had them for 2 years @ 5 days a week + some casual weekend use. They have held up extremely well. They are not a high shine which I like and are available in Wide & X-Wide. I am buying my second pair right now and can't wait to get them. The only issues I have had with the shoes is some scuffing on the tips (I sit in my chair with the tips facing down on the ground) and a few months ago the shoe string snapped but no other issues since then. They are comfortable to walk around in and can be used with work attire or with a pair of jeans.

I have had these shoes for about 8 months now and love them. They fit perfectly straight out of the box. The sole is a quality one and has plenty of absorption and great grip. The toe box is great for my feet and they are a very good shoe for wearing for long periods of time.The dark brown is slightly redder than it appeared on the web page but they are dark enough to go with a black suit although they look best, in my opinion, with a navy blue one!The waterproofing does have a waxy like surface though and regular nugget and other shoe shines didn't adhere well to it. I finally found a type of shoe wax that did and the problem was resolved.I will concur with other reviewers that while the waterproofing does work great - it does make the shoe hot, especially on hot days.That said this is a really comfy shoe that can be dressed up and down and supports your feet superbly all day.

This is one of the best dress shoes I've ever purchased! However, it didn't start out that way. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that it took quite a long time before the shoe was broken in enough to be worn comfortably.It took two weeks of wearing them 12 hrs/day before they stopped hurting my feet (I dreaded whenever I had to walk more than 10 feet at a time), but now that they're broken in, they feel great!They don't have a super glossy finish, so they're more suited for business casual than black tie. I have more formal dress shoes for special occasions, so these are exactly what I need for every-day wear. They go great with both slacks and jeans.Best of all, they're waterproof, so I don't have to worry about wet socks if I happen to step in a puddle of water while waking through a dark parking lot (happens from time to time at work).Edit (1/14/09): I thought I should mention that I mistakenly bought this 1/2 size smaller than I normally wear. That may have contributed to the extended break-in period. I didn't realize this until recently.

I am in a constant struggle to find a quality dress shoe that doesn't give me blisters. My job requires me to be well dressed and be on feet for a majority of the day. I got the brown version of these shoes while amazon was running a deal, $30 off. As expected, they were slightly uncomfortable at first, but after just 2 days of wearing them I can already tell that they are my new favorite work shoes. The size seems to be right on compared to other brands and they look and feel like a high quality product. At this point, I would highly recommend this shoe.

Rockport makes great comfortable shoes. However, they are not cutting edge in terms of style sometimes. I like this particular pair of shoes because it has a simple but stylish enough look that I can wear them as casual shoes and also at work instead of my Cole Hahn or Bostonians all the time. It also has a high luster like normal dress shoes and not a faded or muted black color. The sole is not leather like a true dress shoe so that is one of the reasons why it is so comfortable. The drawback is that it wears out faster. So I got a couple of pairs as backups in case the style is no longer sold any more. Enjoy wearing this shoe a lot and will move on to find another style in about 2+ years or so depending on how long these last. My first pair lasted about 1 year with constant running round doing sales work.

These are some of the most comfy dress shoes I've ever had. They are very basic, but I like the fact they are water proof, and don't squeeze my toes. I've gone through several pairs over maybe 14 years, with most of the last 5 years of near daily wear. They have some grip on the bottom that make them decent for walking around the office, or on the street if you have to. I've also jogged in them without any issues (I know not what you should do in dress shoes). I've always gotten complements on them. They hold a shine for quite some time before feeling the need to buff and polish them. I do use shoe trees to keep their shape when not wearing them. I hope they never stop making them, as they are my favorite dress shoes.

I have a very narrow foot, and this with very little insole pads and foot pads fits very well. In my opinion - a very high quality shoe for men. Fits according to size stated.I like the nice leather fell and looks of the show.The only thing I can say is the high cut can hits my ankle bone, but the pads put me up high enough to clear it.It is all one piece with the sole and heel, so I don't think this can be taken to a shoe repair and get replacement soles and heals. They are very think looking, and I install plastic heel plates to save on wear and tear.Would by again and have, I purchased the buck skin previously and still wearing them. Easy on the feet as well. This is a MAN's shoe!

The shoes feel good and well made... I like Rockport, and until I got this pair of shoes I did not realize that Rockport made nice shoes to wear for work or social events.The reason I gave it only 3 stars is that I ordered the Extra Wide pair of shoes, and with some Rockport shoe designs that is comfortable on my feet.However this is a narrow design, and even the Extra Wide is a little uncomfortable to wear (unlike all my other Rockport Shoes), so I have only worn these shoes once so far...I am hoping that the more I wear them, they might break in and become comfortable. If they do, I will try to update this review and let you know how that goes.

Das ist für mich schon das zweite Paar dieses Modells. Das erste hat knapp zwei Jahre gehalten. Dabei wurden die Schuhe aber vier Tage die Woche getragen und (zugegeben) wenig gepflegt. M.E. also sehr gute Schuhe für den täglichen Einsatz bei der Arbeit (sofern man dort Anzug tragen muss). Bequem und robust, man kann auch mal längere Strecken damit laufen oder abends nach der Arbeit damit unterwegs sein, ohne das die Füße kalt werden oder anfangen weh zu tun. Auch für etwas breitere Füße geeignet.
