Had some roof repairs to do and the you video I watched said slate ripper would be needed. Amazon had a few to choose from and this was one of the most expensive. Glad I went for this. the one piece forged design really took some punishment as had to remove many more tiles than expected. I expect this product to last very well and am almost looking forward to doing some more repairs :-)

excellent tool and works as described

The slate rip worked great until the handle snapped off. Looks like it’s not been forged correctly and made the handle brittle. I welded it back on and now it works fine.

Long strong and down to get the friction on! No really it’s great for shingle repair. It’s a bit longer than my Dasco bar, completely flat, with a round handle.
