"A Sunglass Clip Nightmare"
"A Sunglass Clip Nightmare!I own a vintage pair of Oliver Peoples Eyeglasses that nobody over the counter makes a Sunglass Clip for. I found this clip for the correct Model, but not the right size. I ordered them and as stated contacted the Company to give them the correct sizing. I followed their directions to the "T" Scanning the front and Sides of my Frames along with showing a USA Quarter with both pics. This was not a easy process but assured myself the perfect Sunglass Clip I thought. Then they arrived.. they are not custom made. They are the same ones shown in the ad when I ordered. They completely either ignored my request for resizing and my scanned images or are not able to handle the job. The clips themselves are a tough acetate and polymer but the plastic lenses can be scratched easily. There is no marking of polarization nor any logo. Flimsy, they are held by a nose clip and are loose when attached. All packaging is unmarked. Sunglass Clip does arrives in plastic case. In my workshop I was able to shave off the 2 milimeters needed for the Clips to fit my Frames. It would of cost me $$$ to hire a eyeglass company to do it. I'm a professional restoration person. So therefore, they did not resize as they advertise Custom Fitting to most Brand Name and Designer Frames. And the quality is low.. they are lucky to get my 2 star rating. The photo is after the hours of re-work I had to do. The Company also sends a message not to give Negative Feedback, a clear sign that something is afoul! The shipping was bad as well. They immediately processed a USPS Label making it appear the item was shipping. A week later the item shipped with no Amazon linked Tracking available.
