Quality
I feel like I'm cheating the system with this product: It's as good or better than anything I would get in a foo-foo coffee shop but much less expensive. The smaller bags mean the coffee is always fresh. The dark, smooth flavor is a great start to my day. Organic and fair trade are the cherries on top!

Strong Enough to Wake the Dead (or at Least This Dad)
I’m picky about coffee. Not fancy—just picky. I want it dark, honest, and strong enough to remind me that morning is not optional. This Amazon Fresh Organic Fair Trade Sumatran coffee does the job admirably. It’s rich, earthy, and smooth without tasting like someone filtered a campfire through a sock. No weird bitterness, no burnt diner flavor—just solid, dependable coffee that gets the engine turning. Bonus points for being organic and fair trade, which means I can enjoy my cup knowing both the farmers and my grumpy morning disposition are being treated with proper respect. TL;DR: Strong, smooth, and reliable. Keeps me functioning before 8 a.m., which is more than most things can claim.

Surprisingly pretty good
This was actually surprisingly pretty good for the price. I overlooked this because of the price, PLUS the fact that the last time I tried a cheaper Amazon brand ground coffee. It was so disgusting, that I ended up throwing the entire bag away the same day I got it. It was THAT bad. It tasted like woodchips mixed with cardboard. Tasted nothing like coffee. This one is supposed to be certified organic non-Gmo. Compared to the other. Which is what I tend to stick with most of the time as it just simply tastes better. I simply could not afford any more of my previous coffee grounds. Things are extremely tight. So I looked at this and the ratings. Generally I go for basic medium roast. However I do like Sumatra, and though Sumatra is generally listed under dark roast, I've had Sumatra listed under medium roast. Seeing that the medium had acidity to it, and it was described as tart. That is a huge No-No for my taste. As I prefer deeper, richer, and more chocolatey undertones to my coffee. I hate fruity acidic coffee. Sumatra is supposed to have that. So even though I generally do not get dark coffee in fear of it just tasting like burnt ash. I went with it. I will say this, if Amazon doesn't price gouge me in the future. And suddenly Jack the price up to like $14, like someone else said they did to them ( it's already increased a dollar in less than 24 hours after buying it) . Then I will return and stick to this until I have more money to afford a higher quality one. However this one is acceptable. It does have a mild chocolatey like undertone to it. But it's not as strong and rich as some that I've had before that were more expensive. But it's good enough to satisfy me. It has an acceptable bitterness to it, maybe a little bit more than I would prefer. But again it's acceptable. I like a mild amount of bitterness as it helps with the illusion of a type of dark chocolate flavor. I agree with someone else, that you might need to add a little extra more depending on your taste to get the flavor you want. The Best Brands that I had required much less and were very concentrated. So if you want to make sure you have enough flavor. Make sure you add extra, more than your default higher quality one. I do get the complaint about packaging. Mine came with some grounds that had escaped out of the bag. Via the little hole in the front. It also just opened up really weird and was a struggle. I had to end up cutting it open and then being creative with it to close it back. Thankfully mine did not taste stale. But I will take the measures that I need to to keep air from getting to it and ruining it. Again amazon, if you do not Jack the price up. I will stick to this brand for right now as an affordable brand of coffee. Because Lord knows I cannot afford to spend 15$ to $24 a bag for coffee anymore. However I can afford $6.

Good Coffee, but Fickle
Great coffee, but the price fluctuates so much, it's not worth the headache to keep track of how much it's gonna cost this month if you subscribe. Other than the frustration with the price, it's really good coffee. Smells great, tastes great, brews smooth. Every time I've ordered it (at a low price), it has been packaged well and blended right. I'd love to see them offer an even bigger bulk price.

I'm no connoisseur
Seems to me it makes a good coffee. Nice of Amazon to offer a discount organic brew. I subscribed. I use a meat thermometer to get the water to 175 to 180 degrees F. Any hotter is more bitter. Then mix 1 level tbsp of grounds per 6 oz of hot water, adjust with experience. One quick stir and get it through a coffee filter as fast as possible. Increased "extraction time," any soaking will increase the bitterness. Metal mesh coffee filter deliver shorter waiting time compared to paper coffee filters that take forever. Which means that paper filters increase extraction time. If it's not bitter enough, you can boil up some organic cacao, and mix that in. I like half milk and half half & half. Update: I was so happy to find an inexpensive organic coffee, that I filled my freezer with it. I've been removing unopened bags of this coffee from my freezer, even with each bag enclosed in a ziplock freezer bag, but the flavor has really deteriorated. The artificial intelligence said I could freeze coffee if it's airtight, but it didn't work for me. No more storing coffee as if it's the apocalypse. From now on, I'll adjust the timing so that when I get a bag of coffee, I'll start using it instead of squirreling it away in the freezer, and I'll keep the bag in a cabinet, not the fridge.
