BIBURY Multitool Pliers with 440A Knife & Full Size Scissors, BI2045

This thing is amazing. All the outside tools can be opened with just one hand, the hard wire cutters can cut through fencing with relative ease, and the cutting edges all come shaving sharp. The scissors are a bit stiff at first, but a single drop of oil onto each bushing will smooth it right up. The sheath does get a bit hard to close after a while, so I'd recommend getting an aftermarket option when you can. The replaceable cutters are a godsend. I can't tell you how many leatherman style multitools I've had to replace because the cutters dulled. I can't speak to any long term durability yet, but it's holding up great to the trials and struggles of a nomad so far. In short: it's a leatherman wave clone that's well worth the money.

This tool is pretty solid and of RELATIVELY good quality. I think the steel could be better, ideally, but that's not going to happen in this price range. Years ago I had an original Leatherman. That tool went with me all over the place and it was truly a quality tool. It disappeared during a fishing trip and I've never seen it again. So a few years back I bought a Leatherman Sidekick. That tool has gone nowhere with me. The quality is poor. I have rarely used it in fear that the blade will break. I figured maybe it was the price-point that made it poor quality. So I bought one of the $100 (at the time) Leatherman tools. I can't remember which one it was. Wave or one of the other upper end tools. I drove directly to the Leatherman outlet in Portland. I stood at the counter and inspected three of them before buying one. The plier pivots were loose and the quality was over-all garbage. I did eventually find one I liked but the clerk at the counter didn't care much for my efforts. The point being, Leatherman doesn't seem to care about its quality anymore and I can honestly say that my experience with Leatherman over the past decade has led me to the the conclusion that this B/Bury tool is of a better overall quality than Leatherman for 1/3 the price. The Leatherman is polished better, but beyond that, the steel and assembly are probably similar.

This is the first multi tool I've purchased that did not cost an arm or leg. This is very well made, and all tools are usable for everything they were designed for. The bit driver and interchangeable saw/file blades ad versatility to an already well made tool. All accessories lock in the open position adding a level of safety to this tool. All blades are extremely sharp out of the box. I use mine daily to adjust my gear and work on projects, the wire cutter is capable of cutting chain link fencing and also come with replacement blades. The case is well made and securely holds everything.

Bumping to 5 stars. Use it daily. Bought 4 more. —- I don’t have a Leatherman Surge to compare it against, and I’ve only owned my Bibury Surge clone for a couple of weeks. At first I didn’t think the scissors worked at all - didn’t seem to lock in place and the spring didn’t seem to work. That was quickly resolved with a quick email exchange with Bibury Customer Support. Turns out a mild push in the right spot when opening the scissors and presto! - they work perfectly. I’ve used each tool intentionally and can report they all work. The product is functioning as expected. Seems robust. There is a little wear on the gold finish but I don’t care about that. So far so good! Happy with the purchase. Only 4 stars because it is too early to report on durability.

Has held up well. I’m an industrial mechanic and use this everyday I work. Very good quality tool. The only thing that recieves less than 5 star is the clip came off after a week so now it has to be in my pocket. The variety of bits makes this worth it. Perfect size for a large hand. Very comfortable and durable. I’ve had many Leatherman’s and as long as this brand stays within this price range, I will continue to buy them.

I bought this for my son, who wanted a multi-tool like my Leatherman I've been carrying for years. The blades came shaving sharp (he tried it on his leg!) and everything looks and feels like a LOT more quality than I expected for the $40-ish price tag on this. It's a bit larger than my Leatherman Charge XTi, which I wasn't expecting. The carrying pouch is nice and holds everything. The driver bits are a little weird, probably difficult to replace if lost, but would fit standard 1/4" hex shanks that are everywhere in my garage and toolboxes and workbench... The ability to swap out the file with t-shank jigsaw blades is genius! The jaws meet up better than my leatherman, but don't come to quite as fine of a tip. Overall, quite the bargain for what seems to be a very capable multi-tool.

This thing is simply AWESOME. I've always been a die-hard Leatherman fan and Gerber abuser for years but they're both gonna have to do a lot of catching up if they want to compete with the new Bibury multi-tool. I'm so impressed with it that I don't care about the warranty, it's quality is bulletproof, but with the very low price of $36.99 and overnight delivery from Amazon, even if I do somehow manage to harm it somehow I'll just order another one and save the damaged one for parts. Why wait for repair/replacement from the other brands when you can simply replace the Bibury so quickly and easily. Not that you'd ever need to. And that's not even counting the additional features and functions that you get with the Bibury over virtually every other brand.

Very promising and heavy duty was the first impression I got. After checking things out however, it showed a defect with the scissors. They did NOT RETURN after they are pushed shut, no matter all the instructions and video clips shown on the website on how to go about it. Contacted AMAZON for a quick exchange and will write about the new one after I had a chance to evaluate it again. After the initial excitement this put somewhat of a demper on the quality control/checkup of this product. March 29-2025: HAVE TO CHANGE RATING TO 4 (four) STARS !! As mentioned above, I had to send the first multitool back for an equal/similar product exchange with AMAZON, that per their usual tradition was delivered very quickly. After my thorough check up of this new tool received, I found everything in perfect condition, everything was tight and NO looseness anywhere except for the scissors. I found the tightness in these scissors not as good as in the first pair received, that of course had to be returned because the scissors as mentioned, DID NOT RETURN TO THEIR OPEN POSITION after usage. So, in conclusion, this B/BURY multitool can be a very nice high-quality product when they pay more attention to QUALITY CONTROL !! How well this tool will hold up is still too early to tell since it hasn't been exposed to heavy usage yet. Depending on how lucky you are when purchasing one, if you get one that has passed the most rigorous inspection of quality control, you might give this tool an immediate 5 (five) STAR rating. For me, I will give this 4 stars since I haven't owned it long enough and of course also because of the more than expected looseness in the scissors. Also, the pouch closure on the first one received was more positive, with a firmer click and somewhat more effort was needed to open it. This one is a bit easier to open; don't know if that's a good sign either. In general, the plastic belt clip worries me a bit. The design idea is nice, but a metal clip of the same design would guarantee a more assured long life. Plastic dries out with age and loses its springiness. This probably also has a lot to do with cost-cutting. Again, better QUALITY CONTROL could be helpful and a greater assurance for an immediate 5 (five) star rating.

Multitool de excelente qualidade. Escolhi por ser a que mais tem utilitários que cobrem uma ampla gama de aplicabilidade.

Vale muito à pena, pra ser perfeito só precisava vir com o clip de bolso, nem sempre vc quer portar ele com a bainha. Ele tem um slot T-Shank que vc pode adaptar suas ferramentas customizadas, eu vou incluir um pente pra barba! 9,5/10
