The Angsana Tree Mystery (Crown Colony) Paperback – October 1, 2024

I have enjoyed each book in this series! I really like the character growth over the years passing in the series. From a 15-year-old school girl in 1930s with dreams of being a reporter to a 27-year-old woman who has lived through war and Japanese occupation, our protagonist is smart, self aware, resourceful, and resilient. I want to be more like her!I love the series so that I just preordered book 9!

The author gives just enough clues to help the reader catch on to what is happening as the main character does. Fantastic writing in a beautifully described setting. I can't wait for the next one!

The only thing missing in the Su Lin series are pictures of what these s trees really look like.Now the story was fast as always. This is a writer who makes it very hard to stop reading when there are more pages to go.Love her books

Anyone who enjoys historical mysteries will love this series.I look forward to further adventures of Chen Su Lin and her family and friends in Singapore.

This is the eighth book in Yu's Su Lin series and is set in post WW II Singapore. The characters in the series are delightful and it paints a fascinating portrait of Singapore after the Japanese left Singapore.

Another interesting and atmospheric story.
