Sturdy mat for your next campaign
This is a nice, sturdy mat to use for mapping out visuals in tabletop gaming. It's a little thicker than cardstock with a semi-glossy coating on top that provides a great writing surface for dry erase markers. I haven't tested it, but as long as you don't use a lot of water on it, I'd imagine it'd also be suitable for wet-erase markers if you want something with just that much more staying power in your gaming. With two sides providing both hexes and squares, it's suitable for a wide variety of systems and games. And at 24"x36" it's a decent enough size to be utilitarian but not so big that you need your own designated table. While not enough to take a star away for me or anything, I'd have loved to see perhaps a little more thickness like a thin mousepad-like material in between layers to give the mat a little more substance and give it the ability to naturally unroll without holding the curled memory state. Considering the price, however, what you are getting is of solid value.

Really great! (For the money)
They come in a nice tube for storage. They double sided maps look great with clearly defined lines. However... Since they are rolled up, you have to use the included frame brackets to keep it flat. Even then, it doesn't do a great job. I do prefer the thicker ones that lay flat on their own, but they run almost twice as expensive and only have one background, so it's a trade off. I would absolutely get these again. While not perfect, they are still very good and the price point is fantastic.

Great variety! Easy to fix the curl
Love these, but obviously they curl up due to being in a tube. I was able to fit all of them in a cheap poster frame from Walmart.

Decent playmat for new DMs
The playmat is a great low budget entry into tabletop gaming. It works extremely well with dry erase and the tube it comes in is actually pretty sturdy for what appears to be cardboard so it travels well. The only issues I have with it are that the mat takes forever to lay flat after being rolled up and put in it's tube and it creases fairly easily. All in all I would recommend this mat to anyone who is trying out DMing for the first time or players who are looking for a decent budget friendly mat. If you're a tabletop vet looking for high quality I would recommend chessex or the silicon mat from Ergon.

Maybe one of the best battle maps I've ever owned
I bought my first one back in '17 - I had used vinyl battlemaps for decades and opted to see if this one was any better. I was pleasantly surprised. This doesn't mean it's perfect, but for the price, the value, and the quality it was one of the best maps I've ever bought. Easy to clean, it flattens if you read the directions pretty easily, and it's both squared and hex patterned. I've been guilty of leaving the maps from adventures set on my maps and this was the easiest map I've had to clean. It is very thin - it does wear after a few years, but when I went to buy my son a battle map I bought one of these.

Excellent gaming maps
These gaming maps are thick and sturdy and stand up to a lot of drawing and erasing with erasable markers, making them ideal for long play sessions. They are a perfect size for TTRPG miniatures. The map roll they come in both looks cute and protects them well. I needed spare maps because was hosting a one-off. I picked up what looked like a decent, functional map set at a good value. I didn’t expect it to be this good. If I ever need more, I’m looking for these again. They’re excellent

Essential for Every DM!
Edit (8 months later): I originally gave this four stars but am increasing it to five because it has been one of my most essential, go-to items as a new dungeon master and I recommend that everyone get one! And the more you use it, the better it will flatten out. Original review: I completely love this map, but I couldn't give it five stars because when I followed the instructions on how to flatten it out it damaged the material with crinkle marks. And the ends still curl slightly. My solution was to put coasters on the edge since gamers get thirsty anyway. ;) But you will also need to buy dry erase markers separately because the one included was dried out when it arrived.

great mat, but won't last long
I just barely used this item last night for our D&D campaign. While it worked great, and the dry erase wasn't difficult to remove.... There seems to be fold lines coming up between the game mat and it's laminate cover. While this isn't a deal break, I find it kind of disappointing that it's happened after only ONE time unrolling and flattening it out. Doesn't bode well for the longevity of this Mat.

Bad quail product and bad service from seller quality
Very bad quality product not worth buying. The markers also are not good quality and erasing anything you write on the mat take too much hard work for no reason. I have seen other mats which erase with tissue paper also with complete ease. On top of that i am not satisfied with the product and they are not even ready to accept return and refund me my money. Bad product and bad service from seller

Thrilled
Genuinely really cool, the paper is thicker than I expected and I’m thrilled about it. I was going to get a poster frame for each but that may be unnecessary since it looks pretty solid.

Not everything
Amazing size, tough plastic covered paper, 5 different scenes with one customizable. Only problem it said there were markers in set, I got an eraser but no markers. Otherwise I love it!

Could have been 5 stars
The "rods" are useless, if they were 1 solid piece instead of sectional. I use palm size river stones to hold it down. The Maps are good enough for my gaming group so far
