Great quality material. Heavy duty plates. The groove design is aesthetically pleasing, but can be difficult to clean. This is a good value.

These Jusalpha Ceramic Plates are just beautiful, but only in the right setting are they useful. The best uses would be for sandwiches, pizza, or other foods that do not require actual utensil usage. They are far more ridged than they look in the description, which makes them not only a bit more challenging to wash, but also making them awkward to slide a fork/knife across. They are supposedly hand-made, so that could be why they're not labeled. However, one would think you'd want to mark them somehow. Not sure about the 'ceramic/porcelain' material, but it doesn't matter. They are heavy, with a very rough feel to them. I first tried one with a meal and had to use a small brush to completely clean the plate. Now that I see how they work, I will only use them for company or the food suggested above. I only wish I'd gotten the smaller ones instead. Having said all that, they are really lovely plates and perfect for entertaining.

I really don't think these are ceramic. There is no mark on the bottom at all. Usually there is a label. This has nothing, just a white line around the bottom where it was cut off the line. The reason I don't think its ceramic is because first off, really heavy. And they make this noise when they clink together that is very not ceramic. They are like plates made from cast iron. I gave them 5 stars because they are not only unique but functional. I reheated some tacos in the oven, and it worked great. I like the embossed pattern on the plates. I can see these lasting a long time. They seem much stronger than real ceramic with all the benefits. I did not try the microwave. That might be a problem although the ad says its ok. These are definitely different and unique. I would equate them to dinnerware found in fine restaurants. Great buy!

These plates are a great sytlish addition to my table and plating. They are a sleek modern look that's a little unique. I like the cool texture adding a little detail of 3d to the plate and the dark glossy finish looks really nice with vibrant-colored foods. The only challenge with the texture is it can be a little hard to cut food on if you do that and the ridges can trap food. Honestly it has not been an issue but I feel like it could be hard to clean on super sticky foods. My only issue is one plate arrived slightly deformed - it look like it melted on a wire rack and had one side of the plate bent in a little. There were no issues using it but it just looks a little out of place. Overall I would recommend these plates to anyone; they are stylish, a great size for desserts or tapas dishes, and seem to hold up well so far in the past month of use.

I would like to 5 star these as they seem strong, claim to be microwave and dishwasher safe, and look pretty. I thought these had a decorative appearance but would still be functionally smooth on the top surface, even if ridged on the bottom. But no, the top is ridged and rough. I can’t really slide a fork across it without getting stuck or jumping up and down. And a knife will cut to the top of the grooves but not reach into the bottom, so forget cutting a steak on it. I will keep them for serving certain desserts like cupcakes or cookies. Glad I only got four and not a full dinner set.

I'm more impressed these things arrived without a chip or scratch on them. They are some hefty plates. The look and feel adds some great meal presentation, if you're into that. Personally, I'd eat off a frisbee, but sometimes you have people over and that just isn't appropriate. The only thing I would note is that you do have to give them a thorough rinsing after washing them, because soap loves to hide in the ridges and grooves. I would also recommend not using it for meals that require a lot of fork work, as you may scrape the plate if you're not careful.

these are gorgeous!!!!! i love them so much but i do not think you should eat anything on them that requires you to use a knife because of the groves. im not sure how it would hold up having a knife graze across them and i honestly do not wish to try and find out because i do not want to ruin them by accident. they are heavy duty and they would look great set up on a table! these are luxury plates!
