Quality at a good price
Have tried several pool thermometers all of which have given up the ghost very quickly. Up to now this one seems to be great and accurate too. Very pleased.

Perfect for quick water temp reading in lakes
Use this for getting the water temp of the lakes I like to swim in. Takes a minute or so to get the actual temperature but so far no complaints.Does exactly what I need it to do. Temperature reads the same as another thermometer I have so seems accurate.

Works perfectly in my raised pond.
The fact that this Baldr floating solar thermometer will go down as low as -20c and as high as 50c made it a viable solution for keeping tabs on the water temperature of my raised garden pond.Knowing the water temperature of the pond is important to me as this dictates what food I need to give the fish and also how much.Before using the thermometer you need to remove a thin plastic film from the lcd screen and also from the small solar panel on top.There's a button on the underside for changing from Fahrenheit to Celsius, mine arrived set to Fahrenheit so I changed it to Celsius for my own needs.It floats nicely in the pond and is very buoyant, it even stayed on the surface and upright when it passed under the waterfall.The lcd screen is nice and clear and the figures easy to read.I did check its accuracy with a food thermometer I use for the BBQ, and both gave the exact same reading, I had thought there might have been a small discrepancy as you very rarely get two thermometers giving the same reading, but this time there wasn't.Over all I am extremely happy with this floating solar thermometer and the price which was £9.99 at the time of this review.Worth the full 5 stars I give.

Very inaccurate
6 or 7 degrees out. When it only has one job to do, that's pretty poor.

Great for garden ice bath
I use this is my outdoor ice bath for checking the temperature quickly before taking the plunge. The on off switch is great as it is otherwise hidden under a canopy all day (for me) to save the battery. It changes to an accurate reading in a matter of seconds.Very easy to use, product as described and shown in the images.5/5 from me and would recommend for use in an ice bath as per my use.
