Easy to use
Easy to use and quality is just as expected, I think it's been more of a novelty really as shes not really bothered to print many more pictures since the day we got it!

Good results printing 2x3in (c. 5x7.5cm) stickers
This is a small, rechargeable portable printer that works with an iOS (iPhone/iPad) app or Android app to print on 2x3in (c. 5x7.5cm) stickers. If you have ever used a Polaroid ZIP (ZINK) printer, operation is similar and quite straightforward, but the Hi-Print uses a 4-pass dye sublimation process (the process seems very similar to the Canon Selphy, which also has a 4-pass process. There are three colour passes and a "protective coat" pass. You buy packs of 10 sheets of backed sticker paper in a pack with a cartridge that contains a thin film with all the dyes needed to print. The ZINK uses a single-pass process that just uses packs of 10 stickers which contain all the chemistry needed to produce the print. The Hi-Print is around 14.8x8x2.7cm, a bit larger than the ZIP ( c. 11.7x7.6x2.3cm). It connects using Bluetooth. On iOS I sometimes have to click the entry in the Bluetooth connection screen in Settings to get the printer to connect. The paper+film cartridges are easy to fit in through a door that opens in the side of the printer, and the paper comes out (4 times!) through a slot in the end. Recharging is via a USB-C port. Please check whether the printer comes with a cable.) I print a lot of photos on stickers for use in journals, etc, and prefer to use a Canon Selphy and their credit-card sized stickers, but it has become very difficult to get those stickers, and they are only made by Canon. I've had a ZIP since around 2016 and it's good, but the colours seem rather dull and the print resolution is not as good as either the Selphy or the Hi-Print. The Hi-Print prints a higher resolution, sharper looking image, possibly slightly sharper than the Selphy, but I find that by default, it prints "lighter" than the Selphy, and I find I have to adjust each picture to get the result I want. I'd say Hi-Print photos are a lot easier to separate from their backing than the ZIP photos, but there is more plastic waste as there isn't a cartridge recycling option AFAIK. Photos are:- (1) Hi-Print printer with cartridge (2) Hi-Print compared with ZIP (3) comparison of Hi-Print (on the left), Selphy (middle), ZIP (right) output. The top row is the original photo, the bottom row is the adjusted photo. I also still like to send postcards to people, and although the Selphy can print 6x4in (15x10cm) photos on cards with "postcard" markings (if you can get that particular stationery from Canon - it seemed to disappear for a long time), it's nothing like as portable as the Hi-Print, so I've taken to buying ordinary picture postcards, printing one of my own photos on the Hi-Print and sticking it on the back. The film/paper isn't cheap, but at least it's available. I haven't tried the Similar-looking Kodak 4-PASS which I think also uses the same process and - as far as I can tell - prints non-sticker paper which is quite a bit cheaper.

Didn't work :(
I had to return this item. I really want to support the new Polaroid company as I am aware they came from the Impossible project. I'm so fundamentally upset because I even bought the Polaroid cartridges for this thinking that would fix the problem. I have no clue what the problem is but it wouldn't reset and it wouldn't even turn off, it was stuck in some weird bizarre limbo mode. Also the overall quality of it just felt very poor, the door felt wobbly I felt like I shouldn't be holding it and that it needed to be fixed on a desk, which is contradictory to the image they're showing this as.

Slightly disappointed for the cost
When it works it’s great. But for the high price of the printer itself and then continuous costs of paper cartridges, it should work without fail. With two young kids we enjoy the novelty of printing pics of the family, perhaps using one or two 2x3 packs every year, so we’re not overusing the printer or pushing it beyond its capabilities. The first printer lasted just over a year having printed approx 60 pictures. Then we thought it was defective as it wouldn’t recognise full cartridges- showing as empty. So we ordered a new printer at additional cost. Same issue across two different cartridge packs so unsure if it’s a manufacturing issue. It’s annoying that I’ve seen multiple cartridges requiring to be replaced even though they still have sheets visible in them. Regularly had blurry prints in the first printer we had. Our printer sits stationary and fixed on our desk so it’s never moved or suffered from any impacts at all. I think I’ll be reverting back to another photo printer that I had for nearly 8 years that never failed - the only difference was it needed mains power vs this portable Polaroid version. Disappointed. Could just be bad luck having defects with cartridges and/or the printer, but at this price and from this brand.. it should be flawless.

O produto é bom. Meu problema foi como chegou, com embalagem amassada e pior: equipamento com arranhões. Como compro um produto ‘novo’ e ele vem com arranhões?

I really like this little printer. I think it’s perfect for young people like me who don’t have (or have room for!) a regular printer but still would like to have photos to send with letters, scrapbooking/journaling, to decorate, or to give to friends. It’s ultimately cheaper than an instax in both initial cost and film/paper. I like the print better than the instax photos, it’s flat and crisp where I find instax photos puffy and a bit blurry. It’s also awesome because while it’s just as portable, you can print the same photo multiple times for a group of friends for example. Gone are the days of sitting down and divvying up the Polaroids! I have printed around 30 photos over several months, and I have not had any issues with jamming, connecting, or really any technical issues at all. I have liked the quality of all of the photos I have printed. It is relatively easy to load and turning it on/connecting is easy. The app is cute and matches the vibe of the printer- and it is completely functional, no bugs as far as I have seen. It is super portable, light. The only thing is you want to make sure you have extra paper on hand while traveling as one cart only has 10 photos. If you are traveling, I would HIGHLY recommend getting a case. There are several here on Amazon, the one I got has a space for one extra paper cart which is perfect. It’s not strictly necessary, but I feel the design of this printer would be very easy to get sand or dust inside which you really do not want. As far as print quality, I have never had another photo printer so I really can’t say comparatively how it holds up versus cheaper models. I CAN say that I have enjoyed all of the photos I have printed. The color is generally beautifully deep and vibrant. The photos are not blurry (unless they were that way when you took them, lol.) There is some VERY minor lining on some photos, but unless I’m really staring and squinting at it is it noticeable. One thing I will note is that the contrast seems to be bumped up on this printer. I usually deepen my black points etc when I’m editing- I would hold off on doing this until you’ve printed a few and got a look at them, as the prints seem to be deepened to my eye. The sticker backs are a fun aspect of this printer as well. I haven’t really used them, but I printed some photos for my little sister and she stuck them to her laptop, notebooks, etc. I think this would be perfect for a teenager in this regard. Nothing bothers me about this printer, I find it adorable and useful, and the paper is relatively cheap. I like it! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Attached are photos- first one, no flash, second and third with flash.

Works great! App is easy to use. The film is quite expensive compared to other printers/cameras, but the prints are good quality. You can add filters, touch ups, stickers, frames etc onto the picture before printing. The prints are pretty small, stick back if you want to turn it into a sticker.
