Nice product. Elegant style and works seamlessly. Having a serial number on it would make it professional and could be used for places need calibration and testing and tracing back the device, example usage is medication fridge for hospital and nursing homes. I wish the manufacturer would see this and include a serial number on it. Good product good price!!

I've had this in my garage freezer and house fridge for a couple weeks now, and they seem to be reasonably accurate, reading within a degree or two of my mechanical fridge/freezer thermometers. Keep in mind that these are measuring the air temperature, so the readings do fluctuate more than the food temperature. For example the food in my fridge is stable at 35*F, but the thermometer will show about a 10*F fluctuation as the fridge cycles on and off. You will need the lithium batteries for the freezer especially, otherwise you will get a constant low battery alert flashing on the screen since other battery chemistries can't handle the sub 32*F temps. Overall, these seem to be working just fine and I can see that my freezer in the garage is working properly which is my primary concern since I don't get into that freezer more than maybe once a week. The silicone loops make it easy to hang the sensors wherever you want without taking up storage space. I would buy this unit again. The price is reasonable, as is the accuracy for my needs. My only complaint is that it only shows a 24 hour history. It would be nice to have a longer term history, say 30 days or all time min/max, but thats a pretty minor gripe.

After reading the 1-Star and 2-Star reviews for this product that seemed to describe similar short comings in these AcuRite wireless thermometers, I was a little hesitant to place my order. However, to date, the thermometers and display have worked as advertised. I experienced zero issues with the initial set up of the product. I placed the thermometers in a refrigerator that we have in our basement garage. I initially placed the digital temperature display close to the refrigerator. After a few days of operation with no issues I carried the display upstairs and set it on a book shelf in our kitchen that also holds my indoor/outdoor thermometer digital temperature/humidity display. The refrigerator display remained connected to the two refrigerator sensors. Yay!! Inside of the refrigerator there are built in temperature displays for the food storage area and for the freezer drawer. I had placed an analog thermometer in the freezer drawer. Much to my surprise, although the analog thermometer did not agree with refrigerator's displayed freezer temperature, it was in exact agreement with the AcuRite displayed temperature! I used regular Duracell batteries in the sending units because the specified operating temperatures for the batteries were within the temperature range for the freezer. I feel that the AcuRite is a good value for the cost.

We are starting to have more power outages now that X Cel is having "Planned Power Outages" to mitigate the spread of wildfires. So, how can you monitor the internal temp of Fridg/Freezer and stand alone freezer? Power is out, don't open the doors to check. Installed two of these with internal sensors and external monitors. Now I know for certain what the internal temperatures are and when to hook-up my standby power to keep my food safe.

First, I want to correct a statement in another review about the display not sticking to the refrigerator. I find that it sticks very nicely. Perhaps it would not work on the door because of the vibration of opening and closing, but the magnets are plenty strong enough to hold it in place on the side. When I first received the unit and got it set up, I put both transmitters next to each other in the refrigerator so that I could get an idea of the accuracy. I also have a very accurate Govee sensor for reference. A nice thing about the AcuRite unit is that it allows one to make calibration adjustments (which I did for one of the sensors, which was perhaps one degree Fahrenheit off). In short, the accuracy of my units was entirely adequate, especially with the ability to calibrate. I do wish that it had at least a BlueTooth facility so that one could get warnings on one's phone. Even better would be a WiFi connection so that one could get warnings no matter one's location. In my case, the Govee sensor in the refrigerator provides that service adequately. One other comment: I wish that the product description included the information that the freezer sensor needs Li batteries in order to work at the very low temperature. Had I know that when I ordered the AcuRite unit, I would have ordered the batteries at the same time. (This problem was mimimized because Amazon was able to deliver the batteries on the same day, and I had the unit up and running the next day.)
