how long does filter lasts

I have had mine for a little over 4 months. I've cleaned the filters twice and they are holding up fine. I am hoping they last at least a year.

how many gallons will it filter before you need to change the ceramic filters

I am sure that will depend a lot on what's in your water. We are on city water, but the water is very hard and even has some sulfur in it. I have installed this filter as a whole house filter for 2 people and I have cleaned the ceramic filters twice in 4 months and it is working great so far. My plan is to clean the ceramic filters every 2-3 months and at some point replace them but I am not sure how I will know when to do that. I am hoping they last at least a year.

will this filter out iron?
