Blauberg Condensation Control Passive Wall Intake Vent Grille Cover 100mm (4 inch) Spigot White Mould Control

This was a really good buy. Bought a new build with a cheap off-white vent that allowed a nasty draft to blow through constantly. This looks great, was simple to fit and being able to shut the vent is a great feature, blocking practically any draft when closed. You should always open the vent to get sufficient ventilation when using a log burner, however, we never bother.

Replaced vent with flaps, so nice and quiet. Easy to fit. Can be closed off to stop draughts.

Looks good In the rooms

The vent grille cover looks very pleasing and does by no means feel flimsy. I liked, that the cover is a little bigger than my old vent outlet as this allowed to fix it properly as opposed to the old cover where the screw holes were very close to the spigot, to close for proper fixing. It does come with 4 no. screws, 4 no. 5mm wall plugs, 2 no. bits of string (pull cord) and 2 plastic handles. The strings, along with the plastic handles, can be attached in order to open and close the vent, in case the vent outlet is to high to reach the slider. That brings us to the one point I was a little worried. Closing the vent, without the filter and the cover fitted, caused the shutters to open a little bit at the lightest vibration. Enough to get a notable cold draught in. Hence I fitted the pull cord on the closing side, to be able to shut if needed. Luckily, once the filter had been put on and the cover was fitted, there was no need to frequently making sure, that the shutter is closed. Initial checks over the first days revealed, that the problem did not occur, once fully fitted. All in all, it looks even better than on the product picture and does the job, perfect. Due to the slightly curved edges it hides tolerances to an extend, which is a benefit, as the screw holes do not allow for much adjustment.

Used this vent as a far more attractive alternative to the one previously installed. It looks great on the wall and importantly still provides the circulation of air needed to manage condensation in an older style property. Its very easy to install, literally taking a few minutes, and the fact is has a filter / insect screen is great. It does help to mitigate some of the potential noise on windy days too. As with many of the other reviews, I didn't install the pull cords and just left the 'switch/ slider' on the bottom to adjust the opening if needed.

A really good vent that I fitted in my bedroom to combat condensation- works really well.

Not practical to use at all. Stiff control switch make it almost impossible to turn. Cheap plastic.

Great quality product. Stylish and easy installation. The design should help with draughts. Wanted a vent that has a switch where you can close it in stormy weather etc. The switch mechanism works smoothly.
