WMS Window Lock Key (Allen type)

We ordered this key as we accidentally broke our original key! We weren’t sure if it would work as we had no model number for the window only the fact the the key had to fix in to a 2mm hole.The key arrived in record time and worked perfectly without issue, so much so we ordered a second one as a backup in case we broke or lost this one as they are a lot cheaper than having to replace the whole window :-)

Smaller size allen/hex type window lock key. Delighted to find one of the right size at last! Seems sturdy and has a nice wide head for better leverage when turning stiff locks.

Good price, product and quick delivery but I should warn people that these are a 2.5mm hex key size, not 2mm as many are saying.If you need 2.5mm I would recommend these.These were too large for my 2mm hex heads and when I compared them with a hex key set they were the same size as a 2.5mm one.The seller doesn’t quote the size, but many reviews are incorrectly saying they are 2mm. Probably as they measured across the flats/chords rather than the true diameter.

Did not fit my window locks which seem to be obsolete.

One star given because the seller is not providing a cross sectional diagram with accurate measurements or a warning statement that this might not work with reasons. I needed to open the windows of my parents old flat that had not been opened for 30? years. I bought this in the hope that it will do the job. It was too large. Being a DIY enthusiast, I checked all my Allen keys under 2.5mm and found out that the next size lower than this in metric was 2mm, but this was too small. You need something between 2mm and 2.5mm and the only alternative is the Imperial measure of 3/32" which is equivalent to 2.38 mm. Bingo! It worked and feel silly now that I had it all along to tighten dewalt pilot drills with countersinks attached. I have duly returned this Allen key. I am pleased it worked for some reviewers, but it didn't work for me. if you have trouble with this key, and the windows are old, try 3/32" imperial - chances are it will work. The keys that worked for me were also from amazon - sourcing map 3/32" Ball End Hex Key Wrench, L Shaped Long Arm CR-V Repairing Tool, SAE 4 Pcs.

Pleased that these keys fit window locks. What I received was not exactly as shown, in that they had a white bow rather than black as advertised and the bow was a slightly different design. However this is a minor issue as they fit the locks and do the job. Happy with this purchase.
