DIY Gateway Deluxe Candle Making Kit & Supplies – with Glass Bottle Cutter to Make Candles Out of Wine Bottles – with 2 LB Soy Wax, 2 Scents, Wicks + Holders & Pitcher

I got this bottle cutter cause I thought it would be easier for me to cut it lay down not standing up. It works great for me to do I'm 60. It is easy to operate cut,heat, pour cold water over. I am having so much fun with this bottle cutter. The roller make it so easy for me to turn the bottle. The square bottles work great having no trouble doing them. I have so many craft projects I can do. Just what I needed more crafts to do. Just waiting for my gloves to come.

This works great and I love it but I messed up a few bottles at the beginning. The trick is once you score the bottle, prepare boiling water and a carafe of ice water, and just alternate pouring the boiling water and ice water on the scoring, all the way around the bottle. After the fourth pour the bottle top should fall off (so do over the sink or something). Whatever the case you alternate hot and cold without much pause between so the glass breaks clean. Love these cut bottles! I’m using them for water glasses, not candles. Don’t forget to sand the edges but that is very straightforward.

This kit is fun to use. And then when you’re done making the candle, you have a great smelling candle that you can either keep or give as a gift. I like that a bottle cutter is included. But I wish that more scents were included. I also didn’t like the French vanilla scent.

I collect wine bottles and love candles- so I decided to put the two together and stay busy during this pandemic.The bottle cutter is easy to use, and comes with easy to follow instructions. The kit also comes with two small bottles of essential oils(vanilla & lavender)to scent the wax, which is also included. The wicks, along with the wick holder, are also perfect for the cut bottled candles. All in all, it's a good starter kit for candlemaking.

This kit has everything you need to get started making candles. Here's my only complaint: this kit needs to include a case. All of these items arrived loose in a shipping box. Totally, maybe stupidly, not what I expected. I ran to hobby lobby to buy a case before giving it as a gift.

This was a really nice beginners guide to candle making. My girlfriend loved it and we will be making plenty more!
