Ultimate DIY Garage Floor Paint
I have attempted to paint a few garage floors with varying degrees of success. I am so glad I finally found this product . Easy to apply , plenty of coverage ( 5L dual pack easily does 2 coats on a standard single garage). Just make sure you thoroughly prep your concrete first depending on any issues it has (sand off old loose paint, degrease or etch very shiny or new concrete) This is the paint you want for a rock hard , no lift surface. I will never use anything else in future!

Really good coverage, not messy and super-solid afterwards. Ideally a 2 person job.
I did a LOT of research on this. In the US people seem to get uber carried away with creating laboratory-grade flooring, which takes weeks. I couldn't ditch my garage contents for this amount of time. However the UK seems a slapdash opposite with some ropey looking results and I wanted something in between. Nice and solid floor finish with a shine, but not something I'd need to perform surgery on, or eat my dinner off. I was cautious about not priming first, but I needn't have been as the finish is great. No primer coat meant it could be completed a LOT quicker, too. The product itself is very easy to use, we followed the instructions to the letter and have been impressed. You get 5L of paint/colour in a larger tin and a smaller tin which is poured into and mixed in the larger one. This then gives 2 hours to use before the paint mix "goes off" I used the etching product first which cures and makes the concrete semi porous so that the paint soaks in. I was a little worried that this may make it hard to cover, but with a roller and an extender handle it was easy. The etcher was harder to use as it doesn't cover the area as well (soaks in very quickly). I used two 5L cans of paint for a large, double garage (new build) and this was ample. I did one side at a time, moving the garage "stuff" to one side, then painting the empty half and allowing to dry for 24 hrs before moving everything to the opposite side and completing the second "half". This worked well and I kept the cars out for 4 days (2 or 3 is recommended). Cars have been back in for 2 weeks now and whilst they're relatively small and don't go in and out often, there's no paint lift when I move them out. The floor looks great now and the horrific dust we had is no longer a thing. I would say this is a 2-person job. The etching process needs a pourer/sprinkler and a scrubber. As you only have two hours from mixing to the paint going off, the actually painting needs one person to edge and another to do the main roller painting (unless you're not fussed about the edges). You could do it alone if you're quick, but I wouldn't have made it! The 2 x 5L cans gave good coverage and I was able to give a second coat whilst the first was tacky/wet to give good coverage. Prepping was definitely harder than painting, but this needed no priming so was much quicker. I also vacuumed, brushed and scrubbed the vast majority of the dust out of the garage, but by nature of the concrete giving off more, there was a little residual dust which was mixed into the paint as I rollered and hasn't been an issue. All in all my perfectionist wife thinks it's a superb finish. Result!

Delighted with the finish, hides blemishes and good coverage
I used this on a garage floor where the previous paint had been lifted by the car tyres. Most of the old paint was removed with a power washer and rotary wire brush, and the floor was then treated with etching fluid. Coverage has to be right when using epoxy since the paint goes off once mixed. It a rough floor with lots of pits (I filled the biggest with quick drying concrete patching mix) so I was expecting coverage to be less than stated (30m2 for 5 litres), but it was OK, the area was about 29m2 and it was fully covered on both coats. Was also impressed by the way it hides colour differences in the concrete and small blemishes, None of the underlying colour differences were visible after the first coat but it soaked into the surface in some parts and left texture differences, but these were fully covered by the second coat. I ditched the recommended roller tray on the second coat, it was easier to pour the paint on the floor and spread it with the roller. Drying took longer than stated but the weather was cool, about 13 degrees. Brushes and rollers can be washed in water. Don't yet know if it's durable or adheres well, time will tell but am chuffed with the result so far.

Spot On. No messing! just the job
ordered this stuff to do my garage floor. Brilliant job. Paint goes really far to as my garage was 20m2. I ordered two tins and used 1and half but that was generous portion.. easy to mix and apply and the finish looks good depending on the prep work you do. I recommend this product for any DIY job.. quick delivery to. I had mid grey but other colours are available.

Very effective.
I ordered 5 litres which was far too much for the job in hand. As the tins contain 4200ml and 800 ml ( total 5 lts) I split the batch for the first coat by mixing 1050ml of grey resin to 200 ml of the hardener. That’s 25% of the five litres. It just about covered a smoothish concrete floor of approx 15 sq metres. So with another coat applied tomorrow that will only use half the 5 litres. So 2.5 lts would have been adequate. Not to worry, the unmixed leftovers should I hope keep for another day. I might even give the floor a third coat while everything has been cleared out. Someone complained in their revue that the tins weren’t full. That person needs to realise that the two tins, however full, total either 5 litres or 2.5 litres when mixed together. With the 2.5 litre amount, the manufacturer uses the same 800 ml tin thats used for the 5 litre quantity but with a reduced 400 ml in it.
