Great for a Mac
As a Desktop Mac user, it is hard to find a decent wired backlit mechanical keyboard at a good price. While all USB keyboards a compatible with a Mac, that is not the same thing as having a Mac keyboard layout. Being less expensive than many of the alternatives I found, I decided to give this one a try. I am very pleased with it. It has a pair of switches on the underside. One to switch between 2.4GHz, Bluetooth and off. And another, that is for Mac or Windows configuration. Switched it to Mac and left wireless turned off. Plugged it into my KVM and the was greeted by the macOS keyboard setup wizard. Afterwards, it worked like any normal Mac specific keyboard. Having the Command key next to the space bar for shortcuts like Copy&Paste was a must. No problem there. The extra media keys work great as well. However, they only light up when pressed. As a non-gamer, I did not think I would have much use for the Macro keys. But, I was wrong and set the first one up to do screen captures of the current window. I am very used to the brown switches on my old keyboard. This one has hot swap-able Red Linear switches. It will take a little while to get accustomed to their feel. But, they are comfortable, work great and are quieter. Out of the box, the RGB backlights were setup to perform a Las Vegas Christmas light show. While neat, not something I actually would want to have on a regular basis. Thankfully, it has different lighting modes and color schemes. I set mine to an unchanging near white and I'm happy. It is also possible to assigned each key one of 7 colors. I was able to do all of the things I mentioned above without ever setting up wireless or installing any software. Overall, it seems to be a great keyboard. Did I mention it even has the old school Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock LEDs. Plus, it can live as a strictly USB keyboard.

Sturdy and affordable
This keyboard is rather sturdy and responsive. Set up was easy and the battery life was as advertised.

Great work or play keyboard!!!
Great keyboard, I use it for work, has just enough mechanical without a sharp clacking noise. But not silent either, very much perfect. Love the 3 way connection, and it has lights to show if in caps or num lock which is important especially when you are typing passwords etc and NEED to know if caps are on when you cannot see the characters you are typing!!!!

Fantastic K580 Pro Wireless RGB Gaming Full Size Mechanical Keyboard with minor production flaws
As of late 2023 or in 2024 the new K580 Vata Pro was introduced as a wireless RGB gaming mechanical keyboard that functions very well for under $80 USD. It is worth purchasing if you desire a full size keyboard. Reasons not rated a 5 Star. 1- Control Switch for 2.4GHz/Off/Bluetooth is located underneath the keyboard and not on the back side or on top. 2- The Media keys only temporarily light up when pressed as they do not stay on. Macro (G1 - G5) keys will only light up when programmed. 3- lack of ergonomics but for myself I do not care. 4- the Hot swappable Outemu Red switches (comparable to Cherry Red MX) have thin fragile contact legs/terminals/pins that go into the key socket making it a challenge when removing the switch as to not to break and leave a contact metal leg fragment in the key socket. If that occurs, use an Arts and Craft narrow size Glue Gun stick and heat the tip of the glue stick then place onto the socket which has the metal fragment. Let the glue stick cool down for 3 to 5 minutes then carefully lift and hope the switch metal fragment is removed. Using a sewing needle or tweezer's generally do not work very well. There are no known YouTube videos showing how to disassemble the K580 keyboard as it is "At your Own Risk". I really like the K580 Pro and chances are you will too. No driver to install or software required as it is PnP "Plug and Play". The Redragon K580 Wireless Pro software is obtainable to download from the Redragon website which will permit a few other features to work and also make programming your Macros that much easier. If not for my nit-picking it could be rated a 5 Star RGB Gaming full size mechanical keyboard. I recommend the K580 Wireless Pro keyboard.

Great value, has all I want
Nice keyboard. Has all the features needed. Wireless or wired. Nice font on the keys that has good RGB passthru and there isn't too much RGB color bleed between the keys. Volume wheel is always a must for me and this one is metal with a nice click feel to it. You can also change the function of the wheel to change brightness etc. I installed the software and it works well but almost everything can be controlled without software via keyboard inputs. Once you configure the software, your choices can be saved to the board and you can remove the software if you choose. You can easily change the keycaps and switches but I'm liking these pretty well so far. Red linear, good sound and actuation is just perfect for me so far.

Poor manufacturing. I had to resolder it!
Generally well built and works, but it has a pretty bad manufacturing flaw. When I installed my preferred blue switches, F9 stopped working, despite swapping in another switch. I could see that the pin socket had sunken into the keyboard. Later on, D stopped working in a similar way. The pins weren't damaged, and this wasn't a case of user error and jamming the pins into the side of the socket. I had already thrown away the red switches that came with it, so returning the keyboard wasn't an option. Instead, I took it apart, and I can see that very little solder was used on the pin sockets. What little solder was there had snapped off, releasing the pin sockets from the board on both keys. These are both structural and electrical connections, and it's just not viable to skimp on the solder here. I was able to resolder them myself, but I shouldn't have had to. I will not be surprised if other keys fail down the road. Do better, Redragon. This is not the place to try to save money.

Premium keyboard!!
Don’t let the price fool you this is a premium keyboard. It feels heavy when you pick it up and the battery lasts forever. The software is simple and has tons of customization. I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone it looks great in any setup and feels good to type on
