The Toadfish Shrimp Deveiner Tool works great and really speeds up the whole prep process. It’s comfortable to hold, easy to use, and glides through shrimp smoothly. It splits, cleans, and deveins all in one motion, which saves a ton of time compared to doing everything by hand. If you cook shrimp often, this tool is absolutely worth having in your kitchen.

I was a little skeptical about this product but figured why not try it. I live in a fishing village and eat a lot of shrimp during the season, we prefer to get them with shell on so we can make broth from them later on for soups etc.. This tool works as advertised, I will say I am not nearly as proficient as the video, but I like the results. Now, I will tell you it is either my newness to using the tool or just the side effect of the tool itself, but the shrimp when fished are not as neat looking as when they are shelled, sliced and cleaned by hand, but this tool is so much faster and for us we dont really care that they look a little rough, its not bad but if you wanted some really nice presented shrimp for a date night or your restaurant its probably not the tool for you. I would certainly buy it again and I will continue to use it, because to me the looks of the shrimp do not matter and it saves a ton of time. I am usually not a fan of unitaskers in the kitchen, but this one I give a thumbs up.

I think Toadfish makes the best oyster shucker out there and I own 30 . I expected to love this but I do not at all. I like the cheap red detainers that cost $5 (Challenge 50187 Shrimp Cleaner on Amazon) The first time I used this I sliced my finger which was my fault because I am so used to using the cheap deveiners that do not have a slicing blade on them I did not realize I had to be careful. The diameter of the end of the Toadstool deviser is too big and it does not slide in as easily as the cheap red ones. I also can not hold the shrimp the same way I do with the red one for fear of getting cut. Overall I can just fly with the cheap red one and it is very easy. The Toadstool is clunkier and takes me a lot longer and does not feel good in the hand. I have been working on tweaking my use of it in case it has the potential to be better than the red one and I have just not figured out how to use it the best way . So far I still hate it. The Toadstool is made well and will never break like the cheap red ones. Tip: when I am traveling and do not have a deveiner I cut off the shrimp tails and that makes the shrimp release from the shell much easier when peeling by hand.

殻も剥けるし背腸も取れるのは取れます。 けど手で剥いて包丁で背腸を取り除いた物に比べるとかなり残念な状態で。 多少は時短になったかも程度です。 フライにしても天ぷらにしても食べたら違いが解ります。 黙っていても子供達は気がつきました。 もう少し大雑把な料理だと問題無いかと。
