SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza A+B Antigen Combo Rapid Test (Nasal Swab)

Amazing tests, seen lots about the new Flu A in the news and so when my son got ill with temp of 39.9c and awful headache I thought it would be useful to know what it was as he has yet to have covid. The tests came next day (Amazon Prime you are a legend) and within minutes it showed he had tested positive for Flu A. These tests are easy to use and just like the standard Covid ones that use the cotton bud up nose but with much higher quality tube and nozzle to squeeze sample out with. It was useful to have the Covid test included too and very helpful to know what caused the illness (which included a very high temp for 3 days, awful headaches and shivers) because it impacts how long he is in quarantine for. I’ve ordered a spare test to keep at home too.

After coming down with typical winter symptoms and not knowing whether it was COVID, flu, or just a nasty cold, I ordered this combo test kit to avoid potentially spreading whatever I had at the office. The testing process was straightforward – similar to the COVID tests we've all become familiar with. The nasal swab was comfortable enough, and I appreciated that one swab works for both tests rather than needing separate samples. Just had to swirl it in the solution and apply drops to both sides of the test device. Results appeared within the promised 15 minutes, with clear control lines showing the test was working properly. In my case, it showed positive for Influenza A but negative for COVID-19, which explained my symptoms and meant I could take appropriate medication while isolating for a shorter period than I would have needed for COVID. The accuracy seems reliable – my partner tested negative on both counts despite our close contact, which aligned with her lack of symptoms. The included instructions clearly explain how to interpret the various combinations of lines (positive for COVID only, flu only, both, or neither). Price-wise, these were about £7 per test, which seems reasonable considering you're effectively getting two tests in one. Given that knowing whether you have COVID or flu impacts isolation periods and treatment options, I found it worth the investment. My only minor criticism would be that the plastic waste feels excessive, but I suppose that's unavoidable for sterile medical testing products. For anyone navigating winter illness season, especially those who need to make informed decisions about work attendance or family visits, these combo tests are genuinely useful. I've kept the remaining tests in the medicine cabinet for when the inevitable next round of symptoms hits our household.

Worked super well. Positive nearly instantly (granted, I had a 39 fever and thought my bones were going to rip out of my body). Tested negative with Covid with a separate test so I bought this. Super flu is going around (Dec 2025), which is influenza A. Amazing little test, wish they had them at the GP! Make sure to read the instructions, but it’s exactly like the Covid self tests we all used to do in 2020. Don’t flood the casette - three drops in each only!

Easy to use with quick results. Also inexpensive considering the waiting times and hassle with getting a med centre appointment these days.

Easy to use and it's great you can get a RAT for both covid & flu now, but I'm surprised & disappointed at whatever shrinkflation nonsense has this as a single test for nearly £10! Also, selling only a single test in a box means you'd have to have bought multiple if you want to re-test, or if something goes wrong with a test, or if there are several people in the household who need testing.

18 year old went to a big event with lots of people on a Friday night he was ILL Monday morning high temp vomiting stomach pains headache just to name a few so I tested him with a Covid test which came back negative so I ordered this test off Amazon on the Monday morning for same day delivery and turns out it was Flu A. There is 1 test in the packet so I am going to order another one as I now have symptoms similar to his. But I highly recommend it’s easy to use 5 turns in each nostril in to the solution then 3 drops into the test kit each side and the results show almost straight away.
