Alpine S-S65 S-Series 6.5 Inch 2-Way Coaxial Speakers Handles up to 80 watts RMS

The speakers were easy to install. I have a 2006 Jeep TJ and not much fits. I bought the optional grills with these. The speaker fits down in the grill and it made it easy to screw them to the roll bar pods. Completely covering the stock recessed 5 1/4" speaker hole. Looks great! I also bought the S series 5 1/4" for up front mounted in the Select Increments Dash Pods for the TJ. These coupled with the Alpine S-W10D2 subwoofer mounted in the in the Select Increments Sono-Pod. Bolt this Pod down to the the floor like the directions tell you too! It comes with the hardware. The 10" sub will become part of the Jeep and transfer its energy to your body and the Jeep. All this is powered with a Sony XAV-A6000 Head Unit and both of the Alpine marine amps. KTA-30MW and KTA-30FW. I know these amps get poor reviews. I have no idea why. I had zero issues with the install and the advertised power output is the real deal. Some mount amp(s) under the steering column, but I stacked them against the drivers side kick panel. This system sounds incredible and hits very hard. I was told you can't make a TJ sound good. Well, mine does! I have never used Alpine products before this install. I must say, Alpine does it right!

I bought these bad babies after watching many reviews on YouTube. Boy was I amazed with the sound once I had them installed. I put them in a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. I replaced all the door speakers, front and back. I also have (2) 12in Orions 2,500watts a piece. Hooked up to a 4,000watt Rockville amplifier. We talking about absolute heart pounding experience. These speakers were just what I needed . The sound quality is excellent. 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ product all the way. So much so that this is my first review of anything I've bought so far. Just couldn't keep this info to myself. You can't go wrong. Comes with adapters for all the speakers just in case u need them. Best 6.5 speakers iv heard at this price point period.... sound quality is out of this world. My advice, get em soon as u can. I promise you will be blown away too..... one more thing if u have and amp to them get ready to rock out. Best when used with an amplifier. Save your money buy these ......

I installed these on my Honda 2005 CRV, with a little modification they were able to fit. I use the factory speaker mounts and placed the Alpine's on the mount. You will need to cut out a little section of the door panel to make this speaker fit secure. They sound great even with the stock head unit, however I will be installing an Alpine head unit with a 50W amplifier making sound even better.

I bought these to replace my 2013 Acura RDX factory speakers in the rear doors. I wasn’t expecting five star level sound quality for the price, and I think I got really great sounding speakers for the price. They improved the sound in my vehicle and were easy to install. I did put sound proofing material on the inside of the door behind them, so that probably had an effect as well. I’ve always trusted Alpine’s quality and I’ll buy Alpines again.

I bought these speakers to replace the factory speakers in my Toyota Tundra. I also replaced the head unit. The original plan was simply to replace only the front speakers, and keep the rears. Well, after installing the fronts, they sounded so much better than the junk factory speakers in the rear, that I had to buy another pair to replace the rears. Since then I also added a sub to round out the bass, and these Alpines absolutely shine! Beautiful, clear sound. They are a bit pricier than some competitors, but they are worth it.

Given that the head unit is very difficult (if not impossible) to replace/upgrade on my Honda Pilot 2015, I decided to try to upgrade the speakers. Glad I did. What a difference. The old ones were light as a feather, these are heavy and of great quality. The sound is amazing. For bass lovers, you're going to have to add a sub somehow (good luck with that). For my rock/metal-loving butt, these are just fine.

The speaKer are okay. It's not a big upgrade because I found that the car already got after market speaker and the wattage output dont really matter with a stock radio without amplifier. But I ve still been able to notice a better clarity with the high end and a way better quality bass than the 3 way pioneer speaker that was there before! 5/5 for the service and the speaker potentials

I upgraded the headunit and subwoofer last year, as those were must haves at the time. Sony XAV-AX5500 + Blaupunkt GTB8200A However, the addition of a subwoofer caused the frequency response to become unbalanced and lean towards the lower end, which left me wanting that crispy feel that only tweeters can provide. Me not being a huge fan of plastic dome tweeters, as they sound overly harsh, was looking for a pair of coaxial (speaker + tweeter) to replace the stock Suzuki Swift speakers. Note that the stock ones were able to cope with a little bit of equalizer tweaking, but lacked clarity. Since I am a DIY kind of person, i was looking into a good pair of speakers that had the crossover built in. These speakers just spoke to me. (japanese car, japanese headunit + japanese speakers = purity). Installation took just a few hours (mostly 1hr for the right side, and 30mins for co driver, since i had figured out how to do things) the results speak for themselves. Look at that sweet balanced frequency response!!! You dont need component speakers! good coaxials will do the trick!

Well I have personally tested all mid range speakers brands in this category with and without amplifier boost tests, JBL, pioneer,Sony, each model in this range... This is the top most sound and durable product that I have come across. Crystal crisp clear sound. 80 watt RMS most underdog brand I have come across. So people going for Rockford, etc get 2 pairs installed in your car with a good amp and subwoofer....it's heaven to the ears..

Replaced my Rockford Fosgate with these Alpines and they sound much crisper. Not disappointed with the trade up.
